We just got home yesterday from pigeon forge and we ate at the Timber wood grill. I got the fire in the hole fried shrimp and that was some of the best shrimp that I had ever eaten. My husband got the ribs and he said the same thing about those. It's pricey but worth it. We had the best server also she never let our drinks get empty. Thanks and God bless 🙏

Jana, it has been pretty busy lately around Thanksgiving. We saw a mass exodus of people leaving town yesterday (Sunday) so hopefully it's not too bad Thursday. Expect it to be crazy in Gatlinburg Friday night for the Parade (which we will be recording the entire parade and upload here).

We did not have a good experience at Timberwood Grill, we usually don't eat at the island but it might have been an off night, but we love to walk around the Island and listen to music and see what is new and sit and watch the lights on the fountain. This was one of my favorite places to eat when we were there in the fall. The cake was absolutely delicious. I had a sirloin and baked potato and loved it.

I think Timberwood Grill is one of the best places to eat in Pigeon Forge. Everything they have is great. I haven't tried everything but what I have tried I thought was excellent😀.

We recently visited The Island and ate lunch at the Timberwolf Grill and it was delicious! I had a salad with salmon on top and it was cooked perfectly. My husband also enjoyed his food. I highly recommend.

We went there in October and we ordered the Smothered Steak Tips and Mountain High Brisket Sandwich! They were both delicious!! Definitely recommend!

I think Pottery House is one of the best bang for your buck places to eat in Pigeon Forge.

I LOVE this place! I try to make a plan to eat it every time I visit the smokies! My Mac and cheese burger has always been so delicious I’m sorry you didn’t have the best experience. Love the sweet potato fries too. My brother got the bison burger and said it was good too!

Best restaurant at the island in pigeon forge. Me and my wife eat there every time. Our good friends love that restaurant.

We ate here last night. I ordered the chicken pot pie, and it was stone cold. I ended up getting the grilled chicken sandwich as a replacement. That was very flavorful and was served hot.

We had the same issue. It seems like if they served it in a skillet or something that could retain heat it could be better.

We like the chicken wings at Timberwood. We used to enjoy the fried pickle spears and they changed menu to the fried dill chips (not as good). Campfire queso also good.

We ate here in October and I ordered the Mac & Cheese burger. The burger itself was great, but like Anthony's, my Mac and Cheese was dry and flavorless, a little hard to swallow. Otherwise it was a nice experience and we'd eat there again. I liked your Gaston reference!

I think the New Orleans Snowball would be my way to go! I wonder if the strawberry cake would be presented on a plate looking like that if you ate it there. It seemed like a good cover up to go into a box for take out. Not sure if it’s a place that would be place that I would be anxious to try.

The strawberry cake was very underwhelming to us, we wouldn't get it again. The Pies at Pottery house down the road are much better: kzread.info/dash/bejne/n6Gax7SoopPTZ8o.html

We'll probably get the cobbler. If you want a good cake, try the pink almond cake from Blackbird Bakery in the Bristol area. (We stop there on the way to Pigeon Forge from our home.) People rave over it and they're not wrong!

Could you comment on access to the restaurant? My wife does not do good walking long distances, so i'm wondering how much of a walk there is. Thanks

You can park by a trolley stop, ride that & be dropped off. It’s a moderate walk into the island to the left.

@@KristaKissinger We have been wanting to go there since we moved up here from FL 5 years ago. Our daughter Hannah can get in free right now as a Dollywood employe. I am not sure we will make it up this year, but it's on our radar to get up there ASAP!

Went there once a couple of years ago and had a bad experience. Food not good. Never gone back. If I'm at the Island it's Paula Deans
