I been watching Mr. Chickadee's channel for around 4~5 years, so I chose to watch this with the sound off! A man's gotta have at least one tradition. If I ever attend his class, I plan to wear multiple ear-plugs.

Hi Chris, I found Mr. Chickadee a long time ago and have enjoyed his channel very much, So much indeed that until you pointed it out I had not even noticed that he did not speak in the videos, there is so much information in his videos that he doesn't need to speak, they are mesmerizing.

Josh is exemplary but rare. His virtues are so numerous I can't recall all their names. Therein lies the problem. He can never be a model to aspire emulation because almost none of the rest of us are capable of his achievements. Don't take these comments as criticism of him. Each time I watch him work my entire being wants to spring into action, grab a tool, then get to work. So here is my suggestion: find a way to support him in his work, Whatever... just do it. What you will be doing is providing one of those rare superstars of humanity the means to demonstrate just how magnificent one human being can be. This is not a joke, folks, this man is the real deal. Do it.

Good to hear your voice Josh. Figured you to have served as one of these... ''There are none closer to the author of sacrifice himself. Than those who choose to perform it for the sake of others.'' -Former U.S. Paratrooper Sgt. William Gilpin 82nd Abn. 1/504 Inf. '71-'74 Our States 3 Blood Baptized Texans -Crockett, Bowie, & Travis... would'a been well pleased of the trail you been blazin'.
Thank you for doing this interview! I have remained fascinated by this man and his apparent love of hand tool work and the written word. This segment answered many questions that I have pondered over the years, and Josh's story definitely does not disappoint. I believe we are witnessing a modern-day Dick Proeneeke.

Dear Chris! 👍 Very nice, that you visited Josh aka "Mr. Chickadee" at home! I've subscribed to Josh for a long time and am addicted to his videos, but there's these videos in my opinion, only in pharmacist dose, sparingly administered in μGramm! I could not get enough if it was up to me. I am especially looking forward to the videos of "Mr. Chickadee" and of Shawn James aka "My Self Reliance". Best regards from Austria! In German language: Sehr geehrter Chris!

Hi Josh, Mr Chickadee, first time to to hear you speak. Been watching your videos from day one I think. I have a lot of respect for a man who can learn you the skills you have from nearly nothing in a few short years! I am an old school shipwright and hand tools are my passion and I just love showing and explaining how they work and be more useful in a lot of projects than modern tools. My 80 year old Stanley 55 can be set up and have the moldings done before you can find all the bits and tools to change them for a modern router table! Love your videos Josh, dialogue is not needed, the sound of wood being worked is all i need!
