Tim Wright Fine Violins: Violin by Enrico Marchetti, Turin, 1915

Today we take a look at an incredibly rich and powerful violin by Enrico Marchetti. Considered to be one of the finest Turinese makers of the 20th century, Marchetti served his apprenticeship in Milan with Luigi Bajoni and Gaetano Rossi before moving to Turin in 1874.
We love this violin for its enormous, dark sound. A stunning example of the Modern Italian school!
