Tim Wright Fine Violins: Violin by Camillo Camilli, Mantua, 1742

Today we discuss our beautiful Camilli violin, made in Mantua in 1742. This violin shows the influence of Pietro Guarneri of Mantua but also has so much individuality and charm!
We really love instruments of the Mantua school: violins by Pietro Guarneri, Camilli and Balestrieri are all prized for their lovely broad model and stunning varnish. This is a superb example and sounds fantastic.
