I've had Tim Tams in the US & they're horrible, compared to the Aussie ones I was born & raised on. The Tim Tams in America, when I had them there, were made by Pepperidge Farm & they were horrible. I was in the US back in 2019 & didn't have any Tim Tams, ate American foods instead, Tim Tams were the least of my worries as I brought plenty over from Australia.

I love the fact that a biscuit named after an American racehorse named Tim Tam that wins the Kentucky Derby in 1958 is the envy of the world.

Tim Tam biscuits have always been manufactured in Australia, including those sold in the United States and other countries. Tim Tams have NEVER been made in the U. S. The ingredients in Tim Tams sold in Australia & the U. S. are the same. I've eaten Tim Tams in Australia and the United States and I think they taste identical. I think Tim Tam is the best tasting store-bought biscuit/cookie I have ever eaten. I love them. They taste just as good here in the U.S. as they did on our trip to Australia in 2013. My favorite variety in Australia was Double Coat because of the extra milk chocolate outside coating. (August 4, 2022)

I've eaten Tim-Tams purchased at our local Target store in Topeka, Kansas, and I've bought and eaten Tim Tams in Melbourne, at a Woolworth's ("Woolies") store and I swear they were the same. Taste, size, packaging all much the same. The Tim-Tams sold in the U. S. are made in Australia. On the package it says "Product of Australia". (We ate Tim-Tams at the Melbourne Cricket Ground while watching Australian rules football. Eating Tim-Tams and Four and Twenty brand meat pie and watching the Collingwood Magpies beat the Essendon Bombers! How Australian is that??)

Mark Dillman Yeah. That was my comment too. Most of the TimTams in America are imported Arnotts from Australia. I dont even know if these supposed new American ones even exist. I can tell you Im in Seattle and of the very few places you can get Tim tams here, theyre all imported Australian Arnotts versions

What I can tell is that there is another company in the USA that makes Tim Tam and I think its made by Pepperidge Farm as they trademark the name before Arnotts could in the USA. The ones that are called Arnotts Originals are made by Australia. So if it has Product of Australia on it, it should be the ones made in Australia.

(I even send them to Canada) and there are now soooo many flavours.. the double choc.. to die for - the biting of the corners.. you do it sitting around a camp fire with Port...

(I live in the USA, Tennessee to be exact) I've gotta say, the aussies got us beat when it comes to cookies and I'm baking that solely on the amazingness of original Tim Tams. The first time I tried them, I was a bit fuckered up on xanax and one of the most well known side effect of alprazolam is sugar cravings so off to Walmart we went. I saw them in the cookie aisle and got excited cuz I had heard about them many times and never had the chance to try them. Them suckers didn't even last through the night 🤣🤣🤣 Now I'm just flat out addicted. Oh well, better Tim Tams than heroin, amiright?

Can the Embassy be of assistance here? As of late 2019 Arnott's products including Tim Tam appear to no longer be exported to the United States. Best known retailers of Tim Tam in the US has been Target, World Market, and Walmart. Arnott's ownership at the time changed. American private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) bought Arnott's from the Campbell Soup Company in 2019. Shortly thereafter, Tim Tam disappeared from shelves in US stores. However, an online customer service representative at Walmart Canada assured me that there has been an uninterrupted supply of Tim Tams and they remain available at all Walmart locations in Canada. So, Canada gets Tim Tams but the US does not. Can this matter be rectified? The US Tim Tam distributor was Pepperidge Farm, a manufacturer of their own fine line of cookies and snack foods. Pepperidge Farm remains owned by the Campbell Soup Company. So, likely when Arnott's was sold by Campbell's, the US distribution deal with another Campbell owned company ended. My question is: can Arnott's and its parent company Kohlberg Kravis Roberts be persuaded to arrange a new distribution deal in the United States? Can the US Embassy in Australia offer encouragement to Arnott's and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts to explore new distribution channels in the US? Your comments would be appreciated.
