    I think we also should notice , how much we all enjoy their always egoless communications with listeners , and each other. Its not that way on all channels. In today’s world this is more valuable than the equipment.

    One thing about the amp-cab-switcher. Take an Ampete or a KHE instead the Kahayan… we tried to contact them, personally and by the shop, no answer. And not just one time. So we ask things to ampete and KHE, and finally get their products.

    The line mixer makes me wonder if he's done anything to make sure the mics are synced to be precisely the same distance from the speakers. Sound travels over 7mm during one sample at 48k. It might not seem like much be start shifting two identical tracks by single samples. It gets weird fast.

    It's funny how he has all this optimization for comfort with the gear and then sits in a basic garden chair 😅 As someone with back problems that's usually what my eye is drawn to but glad that's working for him!

    Not sure why Tim hasn't had a compensated nut installed on his Les Paul, that would take care of the G string & if done right would help the D string as well

    I think it's mindblowing that a unit like a helix or a quad cortex can replace everything in this setup (maybe not perfectly but at least 90%). In financial terms, this means 1-2000 bucks vs 100.000+ bucks

    Save on the workflow and setup, but it's never as inspiring as when you need to hit anything dynamic especially when Tim digs in, there's still the rawness and direct feedback that models miss out IMO.

    ​@Xenozenomusic that thing about digging in not being as responsive on modellers is simply not true. Not on the recent quality stuff anyway (helix, keeper, axefx etc).

    @@SuperPol1981 I have a Helix, it's still not as inspiring as my Mark V:25. If i connect the Helix to a real FRFR cab it gets closer, but still not physically inspiring, my opinion anyway, i'm still resigned to using the Helix for live workflow.

    Pretty sure he's not monitoring thru his DAW. Latency can really kill the vibe. (No matter how low).

    Ergonomically, he probably leans forward because the middle of his monitor should be at eye level. He'd probably stop leaning over near as much if he raised his monitors height to essentially sit where the top of his monitor is now.

    Just use a Helix boomer (relax I’m joking) but I do have a Helix. Tube amps too but the Helix is awesome. Tim has a great channel and he’s an incredible player.

    Of course anyone can make music with a single amp and guitar. Tim is a professional session musician. He has equipment that allows him to produce for any situation with no downtime. Turn a dial, swap a patch cable, totally different sound, exaclty what is asked for. He now has the required sound and can let his playing shine through.
