Omg I heard this at Walmart a couple weeks ago too! I think it was kinda late when I went too. And I had forgotten all about this song. I was just a toddler when this was big and my mom use to have country music vids on TV all the time. All that flooded back to me when I heard it at the grocery store. I was mad at my husband at the time(and many other times lol) about who knows what and when I heard this come on at the store I started thinking "I'm just gonna go home and just tell him I love him and let the bs go right now." It had me in my feels bc I never feel like just letting something go bc I'm always right and I need him to know that. Lol.

I was super young like no even in school and I remember being obsessed with the video and the staircase and the beautiful house they were in. I was really into the staircase for some reason lol and when my mom told me they were actually husband and wife i couldnt believe that for whatever reason, i was so shocked lol I also was very intrigued, I guess you could say, with the lyric "if you wonder about the spell I'm under", I think because it was talking about being under a magic spell and I was a little kid and probably liked magic or something 🙄 Still, I remember it all vividly even being so young.

I remembered when this song came out. It was around the time the had their first child and CMT played this song all day. They had on the banner on the bottom of the screen how they welcomed their first child. When Tim and Faith got together that was like country royalty. I love both of their music. I loved this song then and love it even more today. I haven't heard this song in years and still knew every word

Yeah, I have to agree with Alan Jackson on that. I think true country music is blending itself into the "pop" genre, vanishing, one note at a time. In fact, southern rock has BEEN gone, classis rock is classic because there's been nothing like it since. Times they are a changin. Can't say that I care much for where it's all going either.

This song means everything to me! I was in the throes of addiction. My friend from childhood reached out to offer his help. I refused. But when I was at rock bottom I finally accepted his help! I’ve been clean for 17.5 years. It was a strictly a platonic friendship. But at the 7 year mark we both realized we genuinely loved each other! We are both are 58 years old and married for 10 years. He wanted to pick our first dance song at our wedding. He chose this song. We still dance to it. It doesn’t matter where we are at….in the kitchen cooking or grocery shopping…..we always stop what ever we’re doing and dance just like we did on our wedding day.💗

Agree....think it was a PR decision and pressure from wife. He started out as a "Hillbilly Rocker - Bad Boy punk attitude" then changed to the lean mean upstanding classic country leading man. Yea it was my parents wedding song and it played at my dads funeral 😔

This was my wife and I dance at our wedding 25yrs ago today on Sept 12th. We are going back to the same spot and renewing our vows and dancing again except with our adult kids this time. ❤

2023 and listening. This was our wedding song in 1999. I still love him this much!!❤
