I can't believe that I've reached 10k subscribers since my last video. Thank you all so much!!
I fell into the Chenford hole through tumblr and some gifs of the 4x22 episode that convinced me to start the show. I bingewatched the 4 seasons in two weeks haha It had been a long time since I found a well written slow burn on a tv show (especially het) with the question will they won't they during 4 seasons. It began to be clear that their relationship was really going to be romantic only during season 4 and I'm glad I didn't wait 4 years to know if my ship was going to sail x)
I wanted to show in this video the evolution of their relationship and that they both care for each other deeply. No different POV in this one but a lot of parallels to show that they're a lot alike.

TV Show: The Rookie More info in the description under the video :) If you're on mobile i suggest you to watch the video in 480p (it's somehow in better quality) I don't know why but the background in some scenes doesn't render pretty well in 720p (and mostly in 1080p) in desktop 720p is fine...
This song, with the key moments in the development of their relationship, is just beautiful. They're one of the best couples on all of TV

The slow burn between these two has been so much fun to watch. Opposite attacks is Tim and Lucy all the way. Great writing and acting in every seen together. Still wondering what Lucy was planning on doing when she got up off that couch. Her feelings has been way ahead of Tim's. He just still not ready to admit his not even to himself.

I actually think his feeling were ahead of hers! He just hid them and stuffed them down more than she did. He was fascinated and amused by her the moment she took his wallet and told him via the bar phone lol

I’ve seen a lot of good edits. But this was absolutely phenomenal. The song choice, the editing style, the addition of captions, everything. “I hope you see right through my walls” is completely Tim. You showed their story in such a beautiful way. This is literally art. Thank you for the hard work you put into this!! It’s amazing.

How did you choose where to put each clip while making this video? I’m trying to learn how to make them but it’s hard to resist wanting to put them in episode order

Hi :) I mostly listen to the song and read the lyrics a hundred times during my editing process to find the clips that match with it! I also don't make my videos in order. Like I don't always start putting my first clips together at the beginning of the video but where I feel inspired. For example in this video I put evey clip when they hug, and the moment they kiss to create a type of draft that will drive the video... But their places sometimes changed during the editing process because the clips that I've added after didn't always match well with the clips I put at first! I don't know if I'm explaining it well but what you have to remember is that it doesn't have to be perfect from the first shot! You always can change the place of your clips during your editing so if you want to put the clips in episode order you can start by that and then change later, where you think it fits the music the most and the direction you want to take for your video :) last tips: take your time while doing your videos, watch the same passage over and over until you're satisfied and if you're blocked at some point, continue where the song inspires you and return to it after adding other clips, sometimes it can help to find inspiration and fill the gaps :)

By "create a type of draft" I meant that I imagine briefly the key moments of the video that will shape it and put the rest to link it all (sometimes the key moments aren't aren't exactly where I put them at first because I realized it didn't fit) I hope it helps.. 😅 I use Sony Vegas pro 17 :)

@@solariene also, how do you find songs that you want to use with Chenford clips? And do you ever have copyright issues with the songs when uploading to youtube? That's the main challenge I have. Picking a suitable song and that song not having a copyright.

@@lisarm100 I only used one song for them and I already knew the song so it wasn't very hard to choose this one ! But generally if there is no song I know that can fit, I search on Spotify (some people make playlist for a ship so it can be inspiring, or I listen to dozen of songs randomly 😅) for the copyright issue, it's already hard to find a song that can fit so I don't think about it until I upload the video and I pray haha the last time I couldn't upload a video due to copyright issue I used a cover, if you're lucky it can do the trick 🤷
He wouldn’t leave her side after he saved her he had to make sure she was okay he felt it was his fault she almost died he was still carrying that guilt that’s why the moment she told him it wasn’t his fault was so heartfelt cause you could see it in his eyes also the fact he held onto her ring 💍 ( how he found her ) until the right moment to give it back while also giving her some strength back

I used some effects from this coloring (especially for the sharpness) : kzread.info/dash/bejne/nYln1bCmnZirgKw.html + some color curves :) I use the software Sony Vegas pro to edit my videos! (And my footages are all in 1080p)

Lovely shots that I had not seen! Great job. Lovely song. It’s just so loud it covers over what’s the characters of saying. Perhaps if you could put the music on the screen the lyrics turn the volume down so we can read the lyrics and hear what the characters are saying at the same time or even put this song at the end that might be a fun way to see this as well otherwise you have to play at three or four times so you can hear everything well. Food for thought.

Sorry but, all honesty they needed more chemistry. Their first kiss was awful and painful to watch. Not the best tv couple. Their individual acting was very good. The male actor was phenomenal but his romance chemistry definitely needs to improve. ✌🏼🎥

I think that Tim characther will have growth in that aspect in the fifth season, and we will all get our super Hot Kiss that we have been waiting for, maybe towards the end of the season... And I see their first Kiss totally hilarious, it had me laughing for days, come on we all need fun in our lives!

Their first kiss was actually PERFECT for the dynamic of the characters current dynamic. It wouldn’t have made sense for their first kiss to be all hot and steamy. This writers know what they’re doing.
