It's not the end of anything. Player empowerment is here to stay as it should be. I can't believe there are still clowns out there who side with employers over employees; the billionaire owners backstage over the players on the floor. The fact is once in a while a generational team will emerge that plays immaculate team basketball. For as long as I've been watching basketball it's been the Hakeem Olajuwon Rockets, the Tim Duncan Spurs, the Steph Curry Warriors and now the Nikola Jokić Nuggets.

Players should have the power to control their own destinies and join whoever they want if organizations are able to make it work financially. And again, every once in a while an organization will sign a group of players who, under the right coach's guidance, will play immaculate team basketball regardless of how many stars they have.

Technically if the guard changes and they’re not moved then the guard is still the same. I honestly feel like if they go back to back, that SVP comment still works bc even if DEN is young, the “changing of the guard” comment applies to the CHALLENGERS, NOT THE FINAL GUARD. And DEN IS GOING BACK TO BACK, imo.

If you were to tell me that a team with KD, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal are on the verge of getting swept I would’ve laughed at you then swung on you after. 😅 But nope it’s true. It’s happening. Just goes to show that super teams or at least top heavy teams aren’t gonna get it done. Also it appears LeBron, KD, and Steph aren’t gonna win anytime soon for the remainder of their playing days. 😢

Denver is a young team, too. They are not in the same class as KD, Steph, and Lebron.

For a small market MN is a basketball state. We started the lakers greatness, we have top end first round draft picks (Suggs, Chet, David Roddy, Tyus Jones). Basketball is our next hockey, especially if the wolves can stay good and in contention for some years. Look out for us we produce athletes.

I dont blame the suns. I blame the sports media for assigning more to that team than they should have. From the moment that Beal trade was announced, I knew this how it was going to go. Three elite scorers, but only one true reliable one(I am not a fan of booker) and no real depth behind them. Anyone being objective would have seen this team had no shot at being a contender.

I'd argue its more poor roster construction than a changing of the guard. Lakers and Suns have such a poor support cast. The Suns butchered their own roster for KD and Bradley Beal. They could have been more deliberate even if they got KD to keep some of their key role guys and build a proper team around those 2. Would have been enough. They got fleeced on both trades and have nothing now to work with. Lakers just keep making desperation swing after desperation swing. Warriors have aged poorly. And I'd still back Curry in a playoff series over Ant or SGA. It's just that the other guys on that team are definitely starting to go over the hill like Clay and CP.

No matter what, the NBA will never allow the TWolves to win it all

I know it won’t be… but hopefully, this is the beginning of the end of super teams.
