    Dr. Keller, please know that God has used you in a mighty way in my life. Dead Christianity is a horrible curse that I lived for nearly 50 years. Not anymore. The Holy Spirit has broken through, an incredible renewal is taking place in me, and your preaching on the Gospel in Life podcast has been...fundamental, instrumental, essential, I don't have a better word. Sir, I am eternally grateful for your ministry. I pray for your healing and look forward to shaking your hand in eternity one day. And I'm glad you're married to a strong woman who shows the way to Jesus (as am I). Thank you Tim, God bless you.

    I am so grateful for a friend that recommended some of Tim’s teachings. Somewhere I had heard or seen someone questioning Tim and I felt uneasy about listening even though I had enjoyed his books in the past. My friend spoke truth to those lies. Immediately Tim’s teachings were a blessing. I’m so grateful that my friend encouraged my to listen and now to be able to stand in prayer with those who are mourning Tim’s passing. It’s so good to see Tim and Kathy together. He lovingly mentions Kathy when he preaches and it warms my heart to see them.

    You changed my life Tim, like no other man aside from our friend Lewis and Jesus himself. I’m as excited as I am daunted about reading all of these. I’m not gonna try to put into words what you have done for me and my little youth group ministry. Let me sum it up by saying that you have helped and touched more hearts than you could possibly know. I can say without embellishment that I would have turned from my relationship with the lord without accidentally discovering Lewis and I would have lost my way from there again without your calm and steady instructions. Thank you Sir. As a side note, I just watched Princess Bride tonight for the seven thousandth time and I thought about you every time I chuckled. Thank you Tim and Kathy. I owe you both a debt I could never repay. Inconceivable!! 😋😘

  • @fundykid

    Appreciated the news on up-to-date material that we should consider. I make one observation: that never before do we so have much material to read, and yet so little time to reflect. (A remark from the head of the US Library of Congress). Perhaps instead of reading rapidly "at 200 words a minute", we should take just one idea that strikes us, write it down and ruminate about it for the rest of the day: questioning how it applies to us, or whether Scripture backs it. We can have a plethora of opinions, but few Christians committed to well thought out and Spirit-led convictions, and fewer still who put them into practice. While modern life may expose us to dozens of great thinkers at the turn of a page or flick of a switch, we still need to commune with our souls and determine what God's Truth should look like inside us and how we should 'work it out' as part of our growth in Grace . It is not the breadth of knowledge that marks the man, but the depth of even the simplest of pure convictions that lay etched upon his character.

    Tim Keller should be avoided at all cost even if he has been used by God and there has been good outcomes God uses all sorts of various means, read Calvin's Institutes and not the modern editions they are too reduced loosing the qualitative value. Keller undermines many aspects of the Doctrine of sanctification and a right view of sin. He is not reformed but rather a wolf in sheeps clothing.

  • @johnnieboy66

    Could you elaborate, please? I'm curious how you came to that conclusion.

  • @kovenant7

    @kovenant7

    Жыл бұрын

    @johnnieboy66 Read Calvin and his mentions about others that are obscure. His language was full of compromise, an example of one of his statements : "No one came to Christ who were told they were a sinner". There are clear cases in Scripture of examples of that very thing. But if you can't tell already his obscurity then you probably would excuse any and every such thing as lawful. Hopefully that's not the case.
