56 years old and already suffering from osteoarthritis in my hands so definitely going to purchase these new ones. Thanks for thinking of us who have trouble with regular scissors. Kudos to Tonic as well for listening to your suggestions. ❤❤❤.

Will have to look into smaller ones. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and fussy cutting is very difficult for me.

As a jewellery maker I am used to pliers that have springs to keep the blades open, reducing hand fatigue. These will be amazing to use . I have large hands for a woman and I find a lot of scissors are not comfortable for my hands , they pinch me. Tthe loops are too tiny for all of my fingers to fit. Thanks for pursuing the design of these. I love my Tonic/Tim Holtz tools.

Tim is so great at explaining things. Tim is a natural at teaching and explaining things and makes them so easy to understand. Even though I didn't think I needed new scissors, Tim's crafting tools are always so high quality and well thought out, that now I might "spring" for some little recoil scissors!

And as someone with thumb issues who does fussy cut, I appreciate that you came out with the recoil scissors and put thought into the handle design. PS. I cut all kinds of adhesive stuff up to 3D glue dots with ease and then clean up is easy.

I have your left handed scissors and my absolute faves are the serrated edge cause I can’t cut a straight line even if my life depended on it BUT now I can as something about the serrated edge just keeps that paper in place! I brought the sissors thinking i didnt need the snips having not long brought a couple from another brand was happy with them. Next pay i am getting the snips as i LOVE the sissors. The fact that you spoke for an hour about the scissors and the ones that have been released, says alot about you as a designer and a maker. You share everything about it from your thought process to the final detail of adding the spring. Wonderful, finally scissors that are for left-handed and right-handed people, I'm right-handed and my son is left-handed.

Not all scissors are created equal. I know I've bought so many 😂. I love my TH/Tonic scissors. Definitely going to invest in these.

I have used spring scissors for years when fussy cutting. There is much less fatigue in my hand. Unfortunately I have broken the latch on several pairs. Looking forward to trying out this type of latch and trying the improved hand grip too.

I don't fussy cut because I find it to be so awkward and flatout unenjoyable, and I couldn't find scissors that improved the issue. Now there may be an answer. Thanks for the advice on the serrated shears! I had no idea 🤷🏻‍♂️ I could just turn over the shears to cut without the serrated blade marks when cutting. I just now turned the shears over and, Voila!, no serrated marks! 😅

I ordered mine and they are arriving soon. My Holtz scissors are so great, so want them all! Makes me think Tim should design garden pruning shears. No one ever gets them 100% right. I always pick up some nuggets of info from these demos.

Ranger has the rulers again. I just bought 2 this morning. But I wasn’t able to find them anywhere else.

All you need to do when you finish fussy cutting is to go around with a black marker for an absolutely perfect edge

@@stacyh2290 It depends on what you need to clean off of them. You can use soap + water, rubbing alcohol, hand sanitizer, or any adhesive remover.
