Tim Armstrong "It's Quite Alright" At: Guitar Center
Музыка
It was so rad to hear Tim come in and play these songs acoustically in our Guitar Center Hollywood store; two Rancid songs and a very special cover song. If these songs aren't stuck in your head after watching them, you need to watch them again!

I met Tim in 2003 outside The Carling Academy in Birmingham. He was having a cigarette in the area where the buses drive in. I couldn't believe it was him, but recognised him by all of his tattoos, and the fact that it was obviously him! A bouncer ran over and told us to leave but Tim replied in the coolest mumble ever known to man, "It's cool man, they're with me!" He gave us 5 minutes to bask in his glory; those 5 minutes were probably the pinnacle of my adolescence. You're a legend Tim!

One of those rare, talented people who don't just play the guitar or sing the song, they tell stories with their music.
i started listening to rancid when i was 14 in 1995 when let's go was new - now i'm 31 hell yeah rancid for life.

I can't get enough of this! Tim should record the entire Rancid 2000 album acoustically.

Have you ever listened to Tim Timebomb and friends? It's not exactly acoustic but it's still awesome 😊
Legend, was raised on this guys music, and it's quite alright
I have listened to you since I was 11. It was 1991. It miay have been Operation Ivy.Years ago. You have done nothing but teach. I learned the guitar because of you and Lars' harmonies. Thnx. Punx.
This song reminds me of someone, from somewhere so long ago...
I used to bump into him all the time at a grocery store in Silver Lake. The man's gotta eat too!
living legend
this song always eases my mind just enough to get me to sleep when im having a rough night
You know you write great music when it sounds amazing acoustic or plugged in thanks Tim .
you just can't take the ghetto out the man. I look up to this man and Rancid so much. My influence to continue living.
I can tell you how it'll go down But only you can tell me how it'll end All systems just stop right here And all we are is pretend. So many things can be a mystery But all we're seeking is freedom You realize that your reality Is gonna be there to greet 'em It's all right It's quite all right me When ignorance manifests like that Man it's hard to stop Under developed, don't lose your balance And then take a divine drop And if you find my name in regard to danger I urge you only to heed Causation, end of the world Gonna set me free It's all right It's quite all right with me Yeah, with me!
thanks tim for being tim and thanks guitar center for all the free cases u throw away a few dings dont bother me or my guitar..
"if you find my name in regards to danger I urge you all to take heed"!
Just realized that Tim Armstrong could cover a whole Midnight Oil catalogue and you'd never know the difference!! Tim=Peter
thanks Tim, for everyone. and for this video, i think that this session is quite alright :)
I love Tim Armstrong.

Rancid @ Van's Warped tour circa 1990something…. Hey TIm… I've passed on the autographed guitar pick to my nephew….. who's turned out to be a kick ass bass player… got to pass the torch and tradition…. you always did your own style and we always did love the hell out of it

timmy.legend
Damn...its things like this that make me realize I've never had an original thought. Its always been one of my favorite rancid songs so I started working out how to play it acoustically (with the harmonica lol) and of course Tim beat me to it AND it crushes mine in every conceivable way.
so much soul yknow
❤❤❤
Tim his acoustic and harmonica is great
THIS MAN KNOWS WHATS UP AND HAS FIR A WHILE
Love it
Awesome!
You're the best ur music with rancid and transplants sounds great
I want to come back as that harmonica in my next life.
Just incorporated some lyrics into my newest tat, love rancid, Op Ivy, and Tim Armstrong.
Thanks for this guys. Who'd have thought a big scary skinhead with cobweb tattoos, an acoustic guitar and one harmonica could make a sound so sweet, huh? Up The Punx All The Way. xxxxxxx

+Felix Ward nah like punks skinheads are a subculture. If i remember right they believe in racial equality but I may be mistaken. Also skinheads aren't to be confused with Neo-Nazis (opposite) who adopted a skinhead look

Felix Ward So youve basically classified everyone with male pattern baldness or a shaved head as a skin? Righttt. Used to be a Hammerskin, I guarantee you he aint nothing close.
Its definitely in there
My Hero
so true!!
The worst thing that can be said about this song is that it ends
Agree!
I FUCKING LOVE IT, Glad 82k love it with me.
tim armstrong is a musical genius without a doubt. so sick
Seeing them again in 2 days at the norva
his voice makes me shake, man.
true poet
Cool!
TIM has his own label. at least the last time I recalled...(2003-) Many bands... My friends (the Distillers), Hepcat, transplants,Leftover Crack, Choking Victim... HELLCAT RECORDS peace.
I dunno who Mark Freeman is but I can tell u that Matt Freeman has some of the most legendary fingers to ever slay a bass haha...cheers brotha!!!
damn i want to download this version of the song that shit is hot fire
tim started op ivy in the 87 and broke up in 89, became homeless, then mark freeman found him and they started op ivy back up....then rancid broke out and in 97 tim started hellcat records, who he helped out lars fredrickson and the bastards, transplants, and a few other bands, and now thats pretty much his life until recently when he came out with a self titled ska-punk album. WITH THE AGGROLIGHTS
wow.
does someone find out how he's strumming it ? still an enigma the way he plays it after all these years...
is the best
♡
Holly shit, it's that guy from Operation Ivy!!!!
Rancid to Brazil
i was suprised
There is no god. Tim is God.
epic :D
I have that guitar....i love the shit out of it but im just curious as to why they have it mic-ed instead of pluggin into the pre-amp....owell Tims my hero.
@TH30TH3RON3 why havent we heard your songs then? its not about technical prowess, its about soul and expression
The intro reminds me of Joe Strummer...
fuck yea tim !!!
oh cool! i just went to the website, but couldn't find it, could you send me a link please?
beautiful man
I figured it out, its like roots radicals, only reverse. Mute every (3rd?) note to get that rythm. Not easy to learn tough, takes a while to get down.
fucking cool!!!
It wont let me post the link
i had pizza with him and lars like 3 years ago
tim abides.
TIM FUCKING ARMSTRONG
FUCKING LOVE IT , SO GLAD 82k Love it with me :).

Anyone know the meaning of the tattoo on his head?
Still waiting for the call I was told at court was to be daily & had worker tell me he was busy & that she would have him call me the next day. My Son Chevy Lloyd who was abducted by police while we were together in the back courtyard of our apartment complex on the phone with 911 reporting suspicious activity after months of reporting ongoing crimes against us/we're victims whittnesse to Terrorisim
How y'all doing?
@dandemon1989 dude, you understand it!!
Tim Dylan
How does he play like that at 0:24???
yeah, it's weird for me too. they do what they want to do though. kind of the whole message.
Plounk rouck fowreaaaaavaaa
I can't figure it out either, its like a drummer thats playing rythm in the background
