It does have a range indicator, just tap the tile on the page where you ring the tile.

Looks I may have upgraded a little. I like the color of my chipolo. Since they both were almost the same, I would have picked the chipolo over a new tile just because of the color.

Great videos but I have never lost anything with it hanging in the air. Can you do a real life test on the ground or hidden in couch or in car between seats.

This is the max distance test, not a real life test. *In theory, a tracker that does better in max distance test will do better in real life.* Nobody can do a real life test, cause every single real life test if different. There are too many factors that change by the second. So everybody will get different results. Make sense?

I'm trying to find a device for my daughter. As pretty much a anti-kid napping device. I'm mostly trying to find something i can slip in her shoe, would you recommend this? I see a lot of watches and stuff for kids but the thing is if these weirdos are smart they'll pull the watch of automatically. I NEED HELP ASAP SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!

Is it possible to see if the GPS moves while looking at the map? And is it possible to see the demonstration?? I want to purchase a chipolo but not sure if that is possible.. also I did buy one from amazon and it was a dud so I returned it, but on the fence about which tracker to get.. HELP!

Hi Mindy, these are "bluetooth trackers" not "GPS trackers with cellular service." It uses the GPS and cellular service in your cell phone when its connected by bluetooth. So the map feature is to show you where it was last connected if you leave it behind. If it moves and then reconnects anonymously with another user, it will update the map. If you need a tracker that will update its location without the need to connect to someones cell phone look at my playlist of GPS trackers with cellular service. kzread.info/head/PLFsF_30Yizn8u_4tWOpcws8Cz1S1Rturr GPS trackers are more expensive, cost a monthly or yearly connection fee, and their battery life sucks compared to bluetooth trackers but they serve a need that a lot of people need. Chipolo's and other bluetooth trackers are great, they cost a lot less, their batteries last a lot longer, but they need a cell phone to work. Let me know what you'll be using it for and what features are important to you and I'll be happy to point you in the right direction. ~Eric

Hello, So here are my questions: 1) How many Chipolos can be REGISTERED to a device? I've asked this question and even when I distinguish it clearly from simultaneous connnections, I get the same answer. Then when I ask more questions I get differnent answers. Its crazy. So say I have 5 Chipolos at home, 2 in the car, 2 at work. Can I then register any additional Chipolos say at my mom's house? 2) On the website it says it can only connect to 6 Chipolos simultaneously. Is that really true? The person I spoke to in chat said 7. What happens when you try to connect to 8? Is there a way to prioritize them? I notice that TILE allows you to prioritize your TILES in a list you can switch around. Also they claim they can only simultaneously connect to 4 and on iPhone 7 its as low as 2. SO I was wondering why Chipolo was higher and if it was even accurate. So question one is about registration which I assume is unlimited and question two is about simultaneous connections which is a different question. Thanks!

What is your favorite tracker right now? Is it Chipolo? I keep seeing more of your reviews with different trackers and I notice that some have features like wake that you thought didn't exist on any other tracker but that is becoming an outdated statement for several trackers. Do you have favorites? XY3 seems to have a lot of nice features that will allow you to do more with your tracker. But I notice you don't mention it much. So I was wondering why. For me Chipolo and XY3 seem to be the most interesting and reasonably priced. But I've not seen your distance test with XY3.

Understand there are thousands of factors that come into play with distance I only put two in a similar conditions to see which one does better. You might get different results bases on the factors at your location. Most phones need the Tile App running in the background. Was his app running still? If it was, contact their support.

Would sticking the chip in a wallet and putting the wallet under your bed.. ( yeah MY dog plays those games) give us a REAL world eval. Cause I NEVER lost anything ties to a string and hanging from a goalie post.

Yes, that is one of 10 TRILLION possible real world scenarios. I can't test them all so its better to test the MAX and the one that does better in the MAX test will probably do better in real life.
