When the leveling clip pulls one tile up doesn't that create a gap under the tile and require more thinset?

Level clips are only really for 1mm of hight correction and taking away small lippage, they are not designed for uneven floors etc and large hight corrections, this is why I suggest back buttering the tile first with thinnest then using a 12mm (half inch) notched trowel therefore this reduces the tile being pulled off the thinnest
