    Also, cloth pads have been around longer than disposable ones and they are great and hygenic! In fact, cotton ones are safer than any disposable ones because they don't have rayon in them. Also, tampons and pads make up a huge amount of landfill waste and they're only a fairly recent invention. I would recommend looking into them if you are curious, they are worth it and save you a lot of money. I personally use period undies, I prefer them!

    7:35 Cloth pads are basically just disposable pads, but reusable. Made without all the carcinogens, too. There's a company called Cariona, I think? The actual pad part is solid black, they soak up a SHIT TON, and instead of adhesives they have a snap button. Since there's no chemicals, the cramps, itching, and smells are reduced as well. Some people said that their previously chunk flows stopped clotting so much. I've never used them, this is all from Tumblr threads.

    Cloth pads are actually wonderful. They don't (normally) have bleach or other chemicals that disposable pads and tampons have. You treat them like a cloth diaper, use a dry bag or bin to put them in until you wash them. I've heard from many women that they actually help lessen cramps and make for shorter periods 😊

Same thing with underwear, cotton undies are much better for your nether regions than synthetic stuff.

    I use reusable bamboo fibre pads and I can't say they did anything to my flow or agonizing pain. I don't see how the material you are putting on the external will effect your internal uterus or hormones. I use them since it's more environmentally friendly and also cost effective. After 10 months, I'm not spending anything on pads. After soaking and rinsing in cold water, they go in the wash with other laundry, so no more cost of detergent than would otherwise be used anyway. They get washed 3 or 4 at a time.

  • @dielucky3378

    @dielucky3378

    Жыл бұрын

    @@sugarkitty2008 The lessening of uterine cramps from switching to cloth pads is usually more of a tampon users' experience. I find cloth pads to make my period more comfortable because I am allergic or at least sensitive to the stuff they put in pads to make them 'deodorized' (which makes them smell so much worse than literally any other solution). I would say the thing sitting outside but against my body did affect my "cramps" in that it made my labia hurt in addition to my uterus, which I do not experience with cloth pads. I would literally spend the last three days of my period in a state of near-illness when using disposable pads, regardless of how often I changed them. I would say, in my experience, the flow is the same with cloth and regular pads, but I for sure have less overall discomfort and a more manageable mensuration with cloth.

Found out after my period stopped from hrt that the rash from disposable pads was almost definitely from the chlorine used to sanitize them and I could've fixed it by buying the stupid expensive ones that don't use that. Cloth pads are so eco friendly same with diva cups. The amount of plastic that come from tampons not even talking about the toxic chemicals. Not to mention the amount of money that is saved from cloth/menstrual cups is amazing. They have been around WAY longer then tampons. Don’t knock someone else’s style that’s pretty shitty 🥴

    I am the younger child, but I do everything that the oldest has to do. Since I have 2 cats, I am often treated as the forgotten middle child. I don't even know when was the last time I was able to hold a civil conversation with family without losing my patience, or when they genuinely did something good for me, and never made me question their intention. I'm just a traumatised person wanting to move to another country for mental peace, achieving my goals and having some self-esteem

    That rapture statement is SO TRUE THOUGH! There was a bit when my dad made us all go to church (I don’t go now that I have a choice) and one day I came back from work and I had had a long shift and took a quick nap. I didn’t see anyone when I had first got back but then like an hour later when I woke up there was still no one. The house was silent and the lights were all off and by now it was dark. There was a loud booming noise that shook the house and at the same time a plane passed by outside. I was freaking out as the whole “I don’t go to church and I’m gonna go to hell” thing was always a fear but I was panicking for a minute in the living room before I realized my parents were watching an action movie in the basement and had the volume up loud, we have surround sound speakers that are attached to the drop tile ceiling downstairs so when it’s loud enough you feel it on the main floor.

    When I was 3 months old the doctor told my mother I was weird and she just had to be more stern with me for me to turn out normal. And she was. I was always happy to be out with friends and extended family because I got to do so much stuff I wasn't allowed to at home, while my bro could say and do stuff I'd never even dream of... Until a few years ago when a team of psychiatrists determined I did in fact fit into several psychological "challenges" and my "odd behavior" had an actual scientific basis,. It's amusing to see how my "normy" 10y older brother has tantrums and demands stuff while I, the traumatized hyperactive burned out gifted autist, just sits there eating her snacks, knowing he's heading straight for disaster. Not to mention he demanded to speak to my psychiatrists because he didn't believe it. Even though mom was there for the final verdict, I have it on official hospital papers and even the government knows of it. But hey! After that he still didn't believe it XD He's convinced I'm the best actress in the world apparently to fool 5 seasons professionals on several different occassions and tests. Oh, and I'm the youngest. Most defininetly the most trouble, but not in the way people expect when they hear that -lol-

    A cloth pad is exactly the same as a regular pad but you wash it when you are done with it. I guess typically you'd have more than 1 so you can get a clean one when your first one gets dirty.
