I am sure he knew how valuable they were, he gave them to his granddaughter as part of her inheritance. They are very wealthy so I am sure she is also taken care of financially.

You can see in her face (10:56 - 11:03) that she's smiling but she wishes he hadn't. They can be "very wealthy" but they obviously can't buy her another grandmother, and she would have liked to have had more of her things as a comfort and a remembrance.

I know its gorgeous. I have a beautiful, pristine, full length chocolate mink coat from the 80s, picked it up for $70 Canadian, since fur is considered passe. Its light weight, luxurious, and super warm. I think it would have been about 30,000 then, which would be about $100,000. So pick up those beautiful furs now since they last forever and are so priceless

Growing up, I saw ads for this company's products too, and want them to get the credit they deserve. So, I wanted to clear up a confusion. The young lady's grandparents were not part of Johnson & Johnson. Her grandparents created Johnson Products Company (black hair care products). Johnson & Johnson made medical products and later on consumer health products (which is how we got band-aids, and baby oil).

Ms Johnson used to coordinate Fashion Fair Fashion show tours around the country and they were EVERYTHING. I grew up as a dark black girl in Kansas City, KS. The show came through with models of every hue. I went with my mom who loved fashion. It was amazing and I will never forget it. Ever.

My Dad used to work for JPC. He loved it. Her grandfather was the hard nosed business man and his brother John was the creative ambitious figure. George and Joan were both hard nosed business people, a true power couple. Those are amazing clothes.

Grandma was an exquisite beauty with brains. Olivia is the perfect person to inherit this wonderful collection. Black excellence indeed ❤❤❤
