It probably looked green because the underlying pigment of black hair is red. If you have light hair with a blue residue color, you need to add red before going to black in order for the color to not look muddy and weird.

Please for the love of goddess stop pulling your hair. If you see it's fried, don't panic, grab some Olaplex & a deep conditioning hair mask. Gently work those into your hair & see if you can replenish some of the damage. If you can't you gave it a shot & you've got some great hair products to use after you cut your hair & strengthen it as it grows back. Inevitably it's going to get colored again & you've got some Olaplex laying around for the next round. I completely agree about coconut oil, it makes your hair feel soft & it's got great benefits to the inside of your body & even teeth & gums but have you ever smeared coconut oil on your skin. It'll get absorbed a little but your left with a slick layer that mostly stays on the surface. It's the same on the hair, it just doesn't get to the center of the strand the way hair products designed to deliver nutrients will. I love these videos, can't tell you how many times I've played back the tiktok reacts video with the guy who sprays baby powder in his face. Anytime I need a good laugh or am having a bad day it gets me over the hump just seeing our Hair Buddha falling to pieces when he sees it for the first time.

I'm so thankful my numerous hair adventures haven't been too bad. My hair has always been fine and dry (and I did swim team for years! My poor hair!) so I'm very paranoid about taking care of it. As soon as quarantine began I knew it was the right time to go back to blonde from dark plum. It took months to get to a blonde to copper ombre, and the last of the copper was cut off three days ago. Drastic changes are a longterm project!

Last night my hair was green, like the girl in the video, but it wasn't fried. A couple of days ago, I washed my hair and toned it. I wasn't happy with the toner. I was trying to get the toner out. I had some off-brand dandruff shampoo that had a lot of blue green color in it. I put it on my hair, and left it about 30 minutes. The ends of my hair turned bright green. It did not wash out. I used some vitamin C and shampoo, but that didn't get it out. I washed my hair several more times with different shampoos. My hair was still green on the ends. I finally put a lot of Head and shoulders shampoo on my hair, and left it about an hour and a half, while steady wetting it down and scrubbing it. I rinsed it a long time then put some conditioner on it. After that I decided to keep rinsing and rinsing and rinsing with very hot water. Most of the green finally came out. That was an ordeal. I thought I would have to go to town today with green hair, to buy some hair bleach. HB's words were ringing in my ears about having to rinse the pigments out with hot water. It worked.

  • @justkaren6450

I’ve been using fashion colors for a little over a year now. My hair is naturally brunette. So, of course, I’ve been bleaching it. It’s had it with being bleached! I think it’s time to cut 6-8 inches off and stop coloring it blue, pink, & purple. It makes me sad 😔 as I’m 41 years old. When I was the “appropriate” age to use these colors, all I had back them for fashion colors was Kool-aid. Oh yeah, boil some water, add the kool-aid and take it off the stove. While it’s scalding hot, dip your hair in it for a couple few minutes and tada, pink and green hair. Now, Ion Brilliance works infinitely better, but it’s hard to beat $0.25 per color! Lol. Of course, it doesn’t last more than a wash or two, but it’s cheap, quick, and easy for a temporary blast of color. I’m going to miss my colors, but not nearly as long as I miss my long healthy hair. Bleach is counter-productive to the hair growing process.

I keep waiting for someone to say this but I haven’t heard it yet. I grew up in the 80’s and graduated in’92. EVERYBODY had bangs. I’m not sure when they went out of style. Now NOBODY has bangs. It’s the same damn hairstyle on every teenage girl. Hair down to their a$$ flat on top, parted right down the middle and as straight as possible. It’s so completely boring. Now that bangs are coming back in fashion they all freak out. They act like they are going skydiving without a parachute!!! The thing that I haven’t heard anybody mention is the fact that their hair is trained away from the face. They need to wash it and style it a few times at least to get it to fall forward. They are freaking out and cutting it shorter and shorter while it is dry. That’s just going to make it stick up more. It’s like a mini bangs mullet!!!😽

Dayum. That first girl's hair melted. I'm not sure if all the olaplex, protein treatments and deep conditioning in the world would have made it "good". Maybe "passable" or "adequate". That second woman - Jesus' arse! What did they do to her? Third one. Aw man! That's pretty horrific, but at least she's laughing

5:15 Sorry, but why don‘t you go to a Hairdresser??? In Germany a Hairdresser makes your bangs for free (!!!!!), if you are a patron. If you take cut and go all over head, you pay about 28€ And for cutting, washing and drying, you‘ll pay about 40€ All prices for women! So why are you doing it by yourself?!?

Costs vary in the uk depending on the salon. I've not found one that will cut your bangs for free though.

When did our young ladies come to believe that it was acceptable to have these horribly foul mouths in public especially on social media. When I was younger I cursed like a trucker but in environment was used. Like a party with my peers. Or possibly on a biker rally or maybe at a truck stop. LOL I was taught that using this type of language was a sign of lack of education and good breeding. Well I don't know if that's the case but I do know it sounds awful. I bet there wasn't one comment that suggested she not use this type of language on her videos. I am far from a Puritan and I know that accidents happen but she is a bit much.
