➡️ “Luys i Luso” is the seventh album by Armenian pianist Tigran Hamasyan. As part of the commemoration of the Armenian Genocide, the work was performed in 100 churches around the world. The album is arranged for piano and voices, and features the Yerevan State Chamber Choir with conductor Harutyun Topikyan. Tigran Hamasyan is a pianist and played the piano in the recording for the album. Unlike Hamasyan's previous albums, the music is more heavily inspired by the Armenian folk style and draws from Armenian sacred music. The tracks on the album are varied and include developments of fifth-century sharakans to modern-day hymns.

Tigran really is a gift to humanity.
He is the best of our times.
Surb Astvats is a song that comes little by little, takes us by the edges and when we realize it we are completely drowned in tears.

@@krimsworld This is the christian prayer in armenian, the same prayer is called differently depending on the region you come from ( we call it hayr mer in my region). I didn't check its name on the album therefore I am most probably wrong, however both names refer to the same prayer :)

Tigran's music simply reflects the human condition and history in an honest way. There is no need for words, just listen. This concert is monumental.
What a beautiful mind, what a beautiful culture... Greetings from Türkiye, Armenian people were once the most valuable assets of our lands. We separated them from their ancient past. Once I visited Yerevan, there was only kindness there for me, Barev dzez🇦🇲🇹🇷

I accidentally read "rebellious" aspect haha but in this day of age I guess being religious is almost a kind of rebellion!
Liked it before I even herd it then i herd it and realized it's deeper than just likening it!!!!!its something from heaven!!! this music gives me hope!!!! that their is something better than this life after death!!!! i don't want to reincarnate here!!! i want to go to the higher realms!!!

При всем уважении - исключительно православной взгляд на религию. Все мега джазовые исполнители от Mahalia Jackson и далее вверх и вширь по списку вышли из spirituals.
