I love how the leading edge sits so low makes open face shots so much easier... I got the 56 and its unbelievable, the heel relief is so good the whole wedge is so much better then what I've ever owned... I finally found a grind that I really like

Great explanation of what is different about his grind and how you need to play it.

Just picked up the 60* I've practice 1x with it. I love it! Wish there was a 52* option. As I only carry those 2 besides the PW.

We are similar - I've taken a 56/14 Mizuno wedge and bent it t 52/10 - for the exact reason that it has heel&toe relief. It does introduce a tiny bit offset, I don't see it any longer, but I absolutely love it for all sorts of chipping and pitching around the green because of the heel relief. Most manufacturers make a 54-degree wedge with heel&toe relief that I will use next time. The original Taylormade Hi-Toe had a very unique ATV sole-grind option in a 60-degree - I use that bent to 59-degrees as my other wedge

How I would love to have one day at the Kingdom to get fitted, epecially for my wedges since this is the (only) reasonably strong part of my game. Probably a lot cheaper to purchase the wedges to compare with my present MG2 than spending 16 hours crossing the Atlantic though. Then again - simlilarly if I got an invitation to play Augusta, I would drop everything to go.

How are the heel relief in the hi toe with the ATV-grind? Also if you have more heel relief, will you dig less with the heel then? I tend to do that at times, duff it in the heel and ball goes low left.

With more heel relief you will dig more - all things being equal - because the bounce isn't there to save you from digging. The ATV is also a pretty advanced grind and prone to digging so if that is your miss, I would avoid that style of wedge (which isn't too dissimilar to the TW grind). If you are a digger, look for widder sole wedges (it makes a huge difference) - such as Mizuno JPX, Mizuno ES21 W, TM Bigfoot, Ping Glide 3, Cleveland CBX2, Vokey SM8-K Grind

Hi, so would you say that these TW wedges are harder to play with initially then say the normal TM Milled Grind wedges? I am a 18 handicapper and interested in the 56 degree wedge, but due to not being available in any local stores to test, I would need to buy online. So was wondering if for chipping and bunker shots the difference with these particular wedges will require a higher skill set to master and different type of stroke etc? (or is infact similar to normal standard bounce wedges but just have more options/type of shots u can play with these TW ones). Currently have a vokey M grind so interested in your opinion from trying these out compared to the ones I have today. Cheers

High Toe & MG2 are not speciality wedges, meaning I think anyone can play them. Now anyone can play the TW wedges but to get the most out of them you need a solid knowledge of the shots available to you as a PLYR

I have a question. If it has heel relief and some other changes in the sole, does this wedge always keeps the original bounce? PLEASE HELP!!

In the middle yea .... heel relief means the heel bounce would be reduced 👍🏻

Hope all is well, my friend. I’m thinking about grabbing the 60 TW MG2 wedge. With new products being launched, I didn’t want to grab another MG2 wedge if updated ones are going to be released early this year. Any advice/insight you can give me on if I should wait? Or will it be a while? Thanks! @trottiegolf
