Ranthambhor National Park - This is one of the biggest and most renowned national parks in Northern India. The park is located in the Sawai Madhopur district of southeastern Rajasthan, which is about 130 km from Jaipur.
Once considered as one of the famous and former hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur, today the Ranthambore National Park terrain is a major wildlife tourist attraction that has drawn the attention of many wildlife photographers and lovers.
Safari Booking: Can be done online via Rajshthan SSO webpage or thought Agents/Guides. The charges are approx 800 and 1300 per person for Canter and Jeep Safari if done online through the official SSO web page. Hotels do have contacts with guides and agents and they may charge an extra of 200-500 per person depending on season and demand. Jeeps and Canter are allocated by the department officials basis availability in the zone you booked your tickets. Best thing is one can book single seat as well unlike Jim Corbett where you need to book entire Jeep Safari even if you are alone.

How to Reach: Easier way is to get a train from Delhi in the early morning (at 6-7 Am). From NDLS, it takes almost 4-4:30 hours to reach Sawai Madhopur. We can come by own car or Taxi as well. Buses are taking longer so not recommended. Jaipur is the nearest Airport.
