tiger at the time, was the hardest thing come out of jamaica, his roaring style and his tiger style, they had to sign him on island records, it was a number one hit for him at the time, visit me at www.myspace.com/rasorder , reggae historian & www.myspace.com/rasnazarene

@@steffensamlal1854 what a lot of people don't understand is high society people want to categorized the music and call one reggae and one dancehall but the music is reggae and you have culture reggae lovers rock reggae and you have hardcore reggae and roots rock reggae, the music split in many areas but it is still reggae music.
Real legend! Back when Jamaica and Dancehall was fun and loving ♥️

Definitely. I'm 36 and was born that year and the pickney looks around 5 so 😅
So sad what happen to tiger, I was walking from school (ARDENNE) and saw the accident right in front of devon house, it was bad. I remember taking a piece of his bike fender to show my parents that evening. He was a pioneer at that time. Still miss you tiger 2020.

This song means No Wanga Gut - Do Not Want no Gut. The meaning of this song is a BIG part of Jamaican culture. What we live by.

No licky licky means don't be greedy. It's entrenched in Jamaican proverbs as we are taught like that. Nyam means eat. Nyami nyami means greedy and excessively eating without thinking
My fav song as a kid!!!! No lie My sister said as a little boy when that song and video came on the t.v I would laugh and dance to it… now as a adult it’s really funny to understand what I was laughing and dancing to. My childhood

hahahahaaaaaa thats funny - that was me all those years ago... tiger was the best... a cool brother...he was always making music.. living right behind the KFC back then in Kingston... in a little one room..helped the youth and his friends.. sad when he had the bike crash..
For some reason this song grew on me when I started back listening to my Reggae tunes. Its the hook that caught my ear Tiger said some valid words Don't friend Dem Dem a Kill Yah
Tigers one of my favourites. I love this era. Thanks for sharing...☀️

Why haven’t I heard of this General Trees before, and I grew up listening and heavily following Dancehall and Reggae culture for all my 29 years on God’s earth. And up until a few days I’ve been seeing General Trees on my KZread recommendations. I’m highly disappointed in myself 🤦🏾♂️
Respect Daddy Tiger. Dancehall innovator. Love your style

Thank you for uploading this video very greatful you honouring TIGER! THANK YOU
Tiger made music fun. Hoping he is doing well in 2023
This song came out the year I was born but I knew about it growing up in the 90s. The lyrics are typical Jamaican, stop licky licky and nyami nyami. If you're real Jamaican you know 😂 came to look for this after that Bob Marley movie came out and Jamaicans were discussing it and how we let people represent us 🇯🇲
this video is so good makes me smile every time
A true classic.
a wanga gut means someone who is greedy, but the song is about watching other people and being jealous to the point of wanting what they have
Shout-out to 88.9 W.E.R.S. in Boston. In the evening back in 1988 they had the Rockers show. That was the only place to hear reggae on the radio when I was a likle boy.
Move over Movado...dis is the real foundation, rewind and come again.....
Nothing still not like 80s 90s. These days songs are with a lot of substance.
These days music was untouchable.

best video of all time !!!!!!!
I remember, on a school trip up Hope Gardens the late 80s, I say Tiger driving a convertible BMW with a white chick in the front with her two legs on the dash board and music blazing from the trunk.
This was a big song back in the days in JA. Spend several weeks on the chart at number one.Only supercat song: BOOPS got more airway in the 80s than this song.
