For those who are saying that the deer did see the tiger - Deers cant see the tigers colors. Their visual range is much lower than humans. Also, the tiger camouflages well with his surrounding. So what's happening is that the deer is seeing green hues and a dense green color (the tiger). So unless the tiger starts running towards them they cant see him. This is also why deer's pair up with monkeys. Monkeys have same color range as us so they can spot the tiger easily. This narrator did not explain it but David Attenborough did explain this phenomenon in a similar tiger-deer hunt video where deer's paired with monkeys.

As a note from someone who's been in the woods quite a bit, it's way harder to hear or see an approaching animal than you may guess. Unless you step on a twig, it's very easy to sneak up on someone else. And it's difficult to make out animal shapes unless you catch them in motion. The forest foliage obscures vision well.

Larger herds are a both good and bad for predators. As the narrator said, there are many more eyes to avoid as they could alert the rest of the herd. However, it is a target rich environment. The predator doesn't need to kill every deer; only enough to sustain itself.

That’s incredible the way she can just freeze in place no matter was pose. An absolutely stunning creature!

It's sad that the little deer has to die but the Tiger has to eat or it will die.

Tiger is the most beautiful among big cat for me. I hope they no longer endangered especially Sumatran Tiger

Yesterday I saw two Sumatran tigers caught in a pig's snare and died

The tiger licked its paw at beginning is so cute! And I was glad to see the success of its hunt. Good job!

fun fact, most deer are colorblind. they can't see the difference between orange and green. on top of that, a tiger's stripes help it blend in with the foliage so well that a deer could look right at it and not see it

Imagine walking in a forest, and you are enjoying a view of a deer pack, when all of a sudden a deer moves and you see a terrifying orange animal looking at the deers.

Its for theie own protection. The more we learn the better we can conserve and protect them. Smaller collars are easily ripped off. And the collars they have on have little to no hindrance.

I went on a safari recently and the guides track the tiger moments using the deer calls. You got to have a really sharp ear to hear those calls. It helps locate the tigers.

That tiger be like my cats when they see my foot hanging off the side of my bed....🐈

I know people say that people should interfere when a predator kills a baby but that's just how nature intended it.
