You'd think that, but actually the DPS is worse overall. More magic gives a huge boost to the elemental materia and thus increases the damage of every single standard attack and ability. In my experience it outshines 2x Luck Up every time. If you run Tifa without elemental in a situation for whatever reason, Luck Up will give you higher return in terms of ability damage.

With metal knuckles there is a weapon upgrade perk that gives you a 30% chance to enter a battle at chi level 1, so starting with omnistrike active.

Tifa is absolutely broken in Rebirth. I've been using HP MP Swap on Cloud to do a limit break every 5 seconds, and Tifa is STILL stronger.

Nothing more satisfying than dodging an attack using Tifa's focused strike 😂

She was my least played character, only used her for healings. Always felt her damage was pale in comparison to Cloud and the UNIT BARRET

@@ParanoiaXYZ You were playing her wrong if you couldnt do more damage with her than with Cloud. Tifa outdamages Cloud, she is the melee nuker, while Cloud is more tanky while also doing good damage, Aerith is of course our ranged nuker and yeah Barret is just an absolute unkillable unit

This guy is really good at timing the parry dodge right after the uppercut to keep not only the dps, but also to build atb faster than you would normally with regular attacks. Combine that with the right materia set up and gear with of course experience. Tifa truly is the best monk!

What's great about this combat system, is even at MAX level, you can still get stronger, just by tinkering with the payloads, hot keys, and command menu.

They've already made too many changes to even call it a remake anymore... They couldn't help themselves but inject stupid kingdom hearts shit into the end of the first part.

I used this for my first time beating him but i used berret and areith just as support. i dont mind challange runs and stuff but i know when i am not going to have fun with it like doing it solo like this.

You need to either parry slide out of the animation or dodge roll if you don't have parry materia equipped, just make sure the uppercut lands first obviously 😁 good luck

How did you dodge out of the whirling uppercut? Or in other words use the ability without even having her jump up?

Use the parry materia. Use it as soon as the uppercut lands and you'll cut the recovery animation and save a ton of time 👍

What is that punch you spam at 0:33? Looks like True Strike, but it doesn't cost any ATB. Also, why Metal Knuckle over Feathered Gloves? I thought you said magic attack was important to increase elemental materia damage. Isn't speed important for Tif?

Hey. The inputs you mention at 0.33 are 2x True Strike into an Omnistrike, Tifa's chi level 2 ability. Costs no ATB and refunds a little bit, increasing stagger like True Strike. Although more magic attack power does increase the effectiveness of Elemental Materia, ultimately Attack Power gives more return on standard no magical abilities. In Tifa's case the difference between the AP of Metal Knuckles and Feathered Gloves is significant and easily offsets any advantage gained by the magic stat of Feathered Gloves. Feathered Gloves claws back some damage in phase 2 with Chi Trap, but the losses during the stagger windows still put them behind by quite a bit in the end. Speed is less important now due to the Parry cancel mechanic, being able to spam Whirling Uppercut means speed is less of a factor. Hope this helps and good luck 👍

Unfortunately, no materia from Yuffie's content carries over into the main game (and vice versa). That build looks like it has decent balance between utility, offense and defense. Probably do fine for plenty of bosses and general main game content too. Just be aware of the damage you'll receive as a result of the Fury Rings.

@@Dowdzy9999 Pity... I thought I could give Barret/Aerith Magnify+Barrier and replace HP Up with something else, maybe Refocus. I'm also having a hard time deciding whether Cloud should spec towards magic or physical attack. Buster Sword looks cool, but it seems to me that Hybrid build is less than optimal in this game. I wonder if going physical/Hardedge would let me deal more damage than a magic build?

I've considered it before yeah. My issue is mainly time, 60 hour working week and family etc I haven't got much spare time to throw at in depth editing for guides/chat right now. Maybe in the future that's possible though, we'll see.
