Winner of over a dozen film festivals, including the Golden Lion in Venice and published in the American Cinematographer Magazine of June 2010, Land and Bread is a piece of art that could only be achived through film.
A quiet journey to a forsaken land where hunger turns the heart into a desert landscape.

With what seems as one single shot trough a day, Isi Sarfati and Carlos Armella developed a technique to achieve this suttle camera movement. Sarfati calls it a human motion control.

With no dialogue, and only one shot the director managed to induce emotion on many different levels. That's the whole point making films.

it is cut to be made to look like one long continuous take. i would consider the fact that the only camera movement is an outward zoom would constitute this as a oner
Like Andy Warhol understood once, a film doesn't have to resort to complex stories to convey feelings and thoughts. I believe that sitting and observing an image, and thinking is more powerful than anything and your film is exactly that: The image that hypnotically opens, the sounds, and the story that "escapes" from us. Congratulations. It's an excellent idea and very well done.

i learned nothing from this short film. the idea to creat a story by only one view is good, the mouvement of people is well placed.i think in the story something is missing.
where the dog just go? like, he's the main item in this movie..

+zara sheikh - The lady running toward the hut, she went in to labor and you can see stain on her because her water broke, doctor comes home and the other guy is probably the father. Mother has a Miss-carriage, father buries baby body in dirt, then mother and daughter (the girl seen running around) kneel to pray where babies body is buried.

The dog comes searching for the body and eats the baby body.
The rotten smell will always evaporate through the sands of time even if you tried to bury the source deep down.
