The biggest problem with this game is player ID. Every player hits the ball the same way. Top Spin 4 has better player ID than this. This is just a reskined AO Tennis

More fluid and realistic? The characters literally freeze and glide across the court before they hit a ball.

I understand it’s early access but I have this feeling that they feel the large amount of licensing would “save” the game in a way. Making it not as bad as it appears.

@@JohnnyDGaming89they should have kept the twt2 gameplay mechanics and just tweaked it a bit ...the only thing that should be taken from AO tennis was the create a player stadium and story mode not the gameplay and fluidity ...this looks so stiff twt2 was in the right direction I'm unsure why they didn't continue going in that direction....There tie break tens mode was everything I figure bring it back through this game make it online it's a win...there's hope if they go back into twt2 and take the gameplay and fluidity and apply to this game

God, this is way off where it needs to be isnt it?. 1) players arnet weighted?, this is an absolute must for successful sports games. Top spin 3/4 players are weighted, they are 12 years old games, no excuse!.....if it's a free mobile phone game, you can kinda get away with jerky animations, but not if your charging big bucks! 2) wheres the unforced error count?, they at least need the aiming target from AO 2. Looks like 2k25 is the last hope, or i carry on with TS3.....

A human moves/turns differently according to our height and weight.....Top spin 3 and 4 implemented this into those games, combined with smooth animations, it made them shine and capture real life physics of the sport....thus creating more strategy.....like real tennis. I don't see any strategy or interesting patterns of play in this game. They need to start from scratch....it's not a good sign if your asking the general public to finish your game for you... I registered my points with them before but was ignored. I won't be spending 70 quid on this again......I've played tennis for over 20 years and Top spin 3 is the. Closest simulation to the sport I've seen so far.....it's hard to master but boy is it worth it!

Well it's better than AO tennis at least, gameplay atill could be better though, have a feeling topspin 2k25 will be the best tennis game this year

The movements look just like AO2 just smoothed out a tad bit more. They didn’t work on improving the game at all just getting more people and notable events. Maybe since it’s only planned for steam as of now they’ll put more effort but knowing it’s Big Ant kinda doubtful…guess we will have to wait for TopSpin 2k25 but still not gonna put all my crabs in a bucket for that one.

The only thing I really liked about AO2 WAS academy ,the ability to make any player you want but gameplay was not so good,does this feel different or same?

You can make any player in Tiebreak, another video shows community like AO TENNIS 2 with almost the same menu

This game would have a chance if the people of Matchpoint did the gameplay and dropped their AI's unforced errors with 50%.

Finally a gameplay more realistic with unforced errors and devs realized the net is not just "aesthetic". Finger crossed (and the new Top Spin is on the way...)

It's very expensive for what it is, does feel more fluid than AO Tennis 2, but the price point is way over the top... I'll likely stream later on to give more on the fly thoughts

Also really dislike how the AI gets EVERY BALL and you can’t see them working to get to it just an auto shot.

Obviously its an AO 2.5 which is good for me but I wont buy it untill we got proper Career like in AO2 at least, grass surface (i cant understand why its missing by now) Gran Slams, even the fake ones like in AO2 but at least with fully modeled Melbourne Park updated with Kia Arena, and the stadium editor with way more assets than in AO2. If ANY of above will be missing, Im gonna stay with AO2 and I will give a chance to TopSpin.

It seems far worse than Tennis World Tour 2, player movements are so fake and robotic, not smooth at all, rallies are just fake and not enjoyable. Top Spin 4 on PC looks already much better than this, if Top Spin 5 will be just as good as the previous one there will be no competition between the two games. It would just suck that an official game with all these licenses would be much worse and unplayable in comparison... Hope TieBreak can improve and it has to improve A LOT!

??!?!!?? This is once again awful. Same old, dreadful physics. Why do BigAnt even bother at this stage. Glad to hear we are finally getting a new TopSpin though, I have high hopes now.

Im waiting on rugby 24. The way they made this game is not looking good for rugby 24!!!! Id never seen Top Spin 4 but that game honestly blows this one out the water by a mile. Animations are really clunky and not smooth looking here. Looks like am indie game plus licenses.

What is wrong with the tennis simulations? We have Unreal 5, the game can look realistic for a change unlike from 2000...
