Why the different shims? What do they do or when are they needed? Running stock tires but big 33” skats in the sand. On a Pro r 4

Shims allow you to “tune” the bump steer or toe change out of the system giving you less feedback. The instal instructions show you how to measure for it and what shims to use to cure it.

Are these specifically for the ultimate? Or are they for the premium and sport also?

All trim levels use the same tie rods

Thanks for the video! A few questions: Since your tie rods are so much stronger, are they now stronger than the rack? In other words will I break my rack instead of a tie rod? (like putting in a stronger axle and breaking the diff instead of an axle) Second what was the bump steer on the car in the video before and afterwards? You didn't show how to measure that. Thanks. Keep the products and videos coming

You are correct that a stronger part just sends the forces down the line. But, we break stock tie rods quite a bit. They are too small of a fuse for sure. Since I have run our tie rods I have 2,500 race miles in Baja on them with 35 s. Not rack or other issues yet. The car in the video had 1” of bump which we got down to 1/8”. We have seen many others between 1/4” and 4”. So it just depends. We have a bump steer video on line for our BSD kit. Take a look at that fir adjustments. Take it easy 🤘🏻
