Tides of Man on Audiotree Live (Full Session)

Download & stream Tides of Man on Audiotree Live -- smarturl.it/AT-Tides-Of-Man
Tides of Man are a progressive indie turned post-rock band. Three guitarists lay down dense, textured noise in every manner of delay, echo, reverb and fuzz on the market. It’s an intensely melodic guitar style that’s heavily driven by a grooving rhythm section. They dominate the stage, crescendoing into massive sound walls with intricate tonal variety. Tides of Man have definitely matured in their songwriting, ditching the 200 BPM guitar solos in favor of a more cohesive sound.
Recorded on January 23, 2015 in Chicago, IL.

This session is criminally under viewed. What a departure from post-hardcore/ progressive to this progressive, melodic post rock.. just phenomenal

Im sitting in my work truck staring at the rain and pissed about it while looking for something GOOD to watch. The first song had me rocking back and forth uncontrollably to the melody with flashes of my memories reminding me of the beauty in my life. The rest of my day was definitely changed after hearing/watching this.

I'm glad that Tides are still doing what they love. What you created in the passed is my favourite music of all time. I've listened to Empire Theory and Dreamhouse at least 1000 times each. It saddens me that it ended there and that a lot of people still haven't had the joy of hearing it.

Karan Gera I don’t find their music really well produced and ear pleasing. I find them overrated and pretty random/messy in composing music. For me, Caspian, God is an astronaut, if these trees could talk, sleepmakeswaves, etc are a lot a lot much better bands than TWDY, mono and GYBE!

I really like these songs but they often will fall into these places where no one is doing anything that sounds interesting. For example on the song hold still, its going great then towards the end it hits a spot where its absolutely boring and it never gets better. I would post the time but I would have to relisten to the song to pick it out, and i really don't want too, that should tell you something (Tides if your reading). The songs have a little bit of this, but they need that wow factor, where a listener would be like, wow I want to come back and listen to that, it was amazing. Instead each song is often a repeat of the same riff. Its like I hear a riff and automatically know, well here we go for the next minute listening to the same thing over and over. Not trying to be negative but tell the truth on how I feel. Hope it helps.
