I understand why you stopped making vids, seeing when you stopped. But do you plan to make new ones? Your vids transported me back in time when times were good. I don't live in Canada anymore, I live in a small city in Bulgaria now (family reasons), and I damn much miss these type of things you guys do. Would be good if you upload something new.

I just turned 26 but currently have lived at home with my lower middle class artist family in a small house and pay collectively lower bills than if I was on my own, as la's median rent for a single room is around 2200$/mo with utilities if you're lucky, and I could not afford that currently. Clothing I own is pretty cheap, I won't pay more than about 30-50$ for most of my stuff, I just trade up or wait for insane deals/thrift store luck, but also don't really buy more than one shirt or pair of pants for myself every 2 or 3 months. For records I buy large lots and collections for pretty reasonable prices, selling the doubles to friends and other djs; but when I started buying happy hardcore in 2011 people were tossing them out even overseas, and the market was really cheap to buy almost anything (my copy of pengo 12 was only 50$ and it goes for 250$ now). We did all my discogs math earlier in the year with shipping included and it was shockingly around 160$ per month if I remember correctly, even though I now have around 2800 records. I get paid 500$ per gig aside from flight/lodging/food during my stay wherever I dj, and usually have one or two gigs per month on the low end. I also sell 150-300 runs of mixtapes at shows and online, as well as commission from other artists' tapes I produce and sell, splitting about 600$ between me and the dj, with 400$ going into the supplies/printing/art :) I just recently started up a clothing brand with underground event production as well; our last rave paid everyone what they were contracted with some profit on top from just ticketing, but was realistically 2-3 months of extremely hands-on work so I can feasibly only do that maybe 3 or 4 times annually. The rest of my income is either graphic work for event flyers etc. occasional gig jobs like uber/lyft, or from vending original and vintage rave gear at our booth at various raves in los angeles, although we try to sell everything at cheap/affordable prices, and our shirts are around 35$ on average for some rather detail oriented clothes with multiple rubber/fabric tags and special inks/lenticular/etc. That is essentially the breakdown, I could realistically make a bit more if I upped prices of different income sources, but I'm passionately into accessibility of rave and hardcore rather than pricing out ravers. I wouldn't sell something that 17y/o raver-me couldn't have afforded. Hope that explains anything! I try to be as transparent as I can but I definitely live at the poverty line for socal. My dream is to save up enough in the next 2-3yrs for a down payment on a 4bdrm house to lease/rent out for passive income to throw more events, make more tapes and clothing, press some records, and maybe open up a storefront without upping any of my prices :)
