In a weirdly, horribly, psychotic, completely messed up way i feel like JD truly did love Veronica but he was also completely obsessed with her. Am i the only one that thinks that? Truthfully if he'd had a little bit (a lot) of therapy i think he might've turned out okay believe me i love the plot and everything about heathers but i can't help wondering what would've happened had JD actually turned out to be an okay not completely psychotic teenage mess

I also believe that, but without a maternal figure in his life, he didn’t understand how women worked. He’s used to compressing all of his emotions until he can’t feel them anymore, so he doesn’t quite understand manipulation. After he thought he’d lost the only female in his life, he went mad. The very moment she showed up again and confronted him he completely lost it.

Oh JD, at least in the musical I can’t speak for the movie, I haven’t seen it, absolutely loves Veronica. He’s just too obsessed, emotionally stunted, and incapable of realizing what he’s doing is awful to be good for her or himself

yeah, (in the musical) he took the bomb from Veronica and asked her to walk away so that she wouldn't explode with him, in the movie he took it from the boiler room after Veronica left, followed v(i think) moved far enough so v won't explode with him ​@@stancourtneytd

This is CRIMINALLY underrated! I adore this musical so much and it genuinely has the BEST soundtrack ever! The editing in this is flawless, the facial expressions are spot on and the editing of the props ( especially the spin of JD’s g•n ) are absolutely amazing !! Incredibly talented❤️
