I was at opening day of Splash in 1992 when Betty White came down the mountain. Will always miss Splash! My boys grew up riding it and it was our family favorite. Wish I could post a pic of the poster given to media for the grand opening.

Splash Mountain will forever be my favorite…they should have left it and built something new for Tiana’s bayou.

Tiana's Co-OP Rainforest Cafe...a socialist ride for small kids.

Splash Mountain was my favourite ride ever. I’m sure the retheme will be decent enough, but it clearly won’t match the original from the level of artistry and care. A brand new attraction for PatF with a built in restaurant would’ve been truly spectacular.

Don’t be kidding yourself Disney is ruining a lot of great experiences along with several other decisions they made in the past few years. It doesn’t seem like a family friendly place anymore. Also inflation of prices are astronomical for no reason. That wasn’t Walt’s vision whatsoever I am not happy for reasoning behind their decision to close Splash Mountain.

My family and I would go do Disneyland 2 times a year. We stopped over a year ago because we can't afford it anymore. And the drastic change in quality doesn't help... We're absolutely devastated our only happy place is gone. The one thing that made me realize it's all over was when the street car drivers started getting younger and would literally just talk about themselves versus giving us any knowledge about the park or Walt himself. The pride of being a part of Walt's vision is gone and therefore, so are we... 😢😢😢 Thanks for your content Adam. Our kids and I love watching your videos and we'll miss hoping to see you walking around the park when we would visit. ❤

I feel the same way about Back to the future ride at Universal

I remember the hype in 1989 and waited 2 hours a few days after it opened in July of that year and it was so much more thrilling then Knott’s Timber Mountain Log Ride. Although much older, this recycled version has the opposite effect on me, I have zero desire to even step into the park. Many may disagree, but that’s how I feel.

I still see the spirit of Good ‘ol’ Splash in this new one, but it does look promising. I love The Princess and The Frog in buckets! Also, while everyone might be there for opening day, you brought (absolutely no kidding) the catch of the water meeting the log, which was surprisingly so special and definitely a rare one and you did it. That’s why I watch you. Adam the Woo! Yahoo!

I totally understand your opinion on Tiana's. I agree that changing Disneyland's version makes more sense because it's in NO Square. But to me, it doesn't make sense for WDW. NOLA is below sea level, not a mountain or a hill. Plus, the salt mines in Louisiana are underground, some 1,500 ft below ground, so a raised above ground salt mine doesn't make sense. I do wish we could have kept Splash at WDW.

Don't worry about the technical details of it being a salt mine too much to where it ruins your enjoyment because every Disney ride requires a suspension of disbelief. Especially with rides that are rethemed. Frozen Ever After makes NO sense at all yet it's still a really good and well loved attraction.

Tinker Bell was removed because of lack of popularity. Tinker Bell will still be popping up now and then at Epcot and continue at Disneyland.

Sorry if this has already been said.... Can't you get a park reservation for a different available park and park hop into Magic Kingdom for the AP preview and try to get the 1pm virtual que?

That’s straight up insane that you can’t get in there with an annual pass but if you bought a ticket while having an annual pass you could.

I am a cast member and I can tell you that at cast member previews we are not allowed to post photos or videos of the Thing that has not opened to the public yet. Sometimes they make us put our phone in a sealed plastic envelope before entering the ride or land so no one is tempted to break that rule. You can still carry your phone in this bag. However security is looking to see if anyone opens theirs.

The AP Preview is also on the 20th! That's when I am going! if you have a reservation for ANY park..you can go on the preview days to try for 1pm VQ. And ypu dont have to be in MK to do it!

I dont think I will ever go back to either disndy until Mr toads ride comes back to Florida I loved that ride close it because one person stands up on the ride and dies not everyone's fault

But, but we got Winnie the Pooh, so aren’t we all happy little campers? This has to be one of the Disney World’s worse decisions, to replace Mr. Toad’s, for a little bear. Up there with shutting down Disneyland’s PeopleMover. When I go to Disneyland, I ride Mr. Toads as ofter as I can. You would think the novelty would dwindle, but it hasn’t.

The only time I have seen you in person was on the opening day of Mickey and Minnies Runaway Railway. You were filming so I just kept it moving. I like when all the creators are there for opening day events, it's cool to see everyone interact! Maybe I'll bump into you sometime!

They should’ve kept Splash Mountain at Disneyworld. The theming is off in Frontierland for Tiana’s adventure but it would fit in with New Orleans Square so perfectly if they do away with critter country. Then you get a different experience at both parks and it’s not just repetitive theme wise. Just my opinion though

I still can’t believe they think that shitty Hobby Lobby facade is passable for what was once a world class attraction. Oh wait, it’s new Disney. Not surprised at all. Can you imagine what it will look like in two years? Disney won’t maintain it.

Imagine my surprise when riding Splash Mountain for the first time to see many characters and a few sets from America Sings! Disney recycling. Waterboy's on, Adam, saw you holding your banner but don't blink. That Adam was at a local IHOP in mid '21 and it was so crowded they turned that other Adam and his family away. He gracefully returned, spent time with the waitress who didn't recognize him and then IHOP had Milkshake Mondays and donated some proceeds to one of Sandler's philanthropic ventures. Please don't Figment that joint.

I was there the last day of Splash Mountain in MK. First log was with you (I held Figment) and my daughter and I were in the last “guest log”. Saw you while leaving the park…long day but great memories.

Splash Mountain may be gone, but Heavy Metal Mickey remains there steadfast to welcome visitors to the TTC.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure would be good as there are some soft open days that you should go as it'll be during the day that you can enjoy
