The reason why he chose not to ascend is because Xie Lian was not there at that time and he is the only believer left in the mortal realm To ensure that Xie Lian will still be okay, he descended to be a ghost and built the temple of thousand gods and the Qing Deng temple In the ghost city to worship him

1. He is abused as a child and has suicidal tendencies. Very depressing. 2. He found light through Xie Lian and decides to devote his life to him by joining his army. 3. He dies and becomes a ghost spirit. 4. Xie Lian is tortured and Hua Cheng could only witnessed it since he was just a weak ghost flame. 5.Hua Cheng puts on the mask and disguises himself. His identity is kept a secret from Xie Lian. He dies for him. 6. Hua Cheng is back and trains hard to eventually become the ghost king, he creates his weapon from his own eye. 7. Hua Cheng ascends and descends multiple times. 8. Under the name San Lang, Hua Cheng keeps his true form from Xie Lian. 9. Hua Cheng shows his true form to Xie Lian. 10. Hua Cheng uses his spiritual powers for his dianxia and vanished, turned into butterflies. 11. Extra: After a year Hua Cheng comes back and lives happily with Xie Lian, he will forever be his most devoted believer( and future husband :3).

What is 7. Ascending and descending multiple times ?? Can someone explain? I kinda skipped some parts in novel (feng xin and mu qing fighting parts)... Now I feel like I missed other things too 🥲

@@jelly4074 It was confirmed in book five that Hua Cheng acended to godhood after ripping out his eye to form E-ming to save the group of people we was with on the mountain. Then he immediately jumped back down to become a ghost king through the mountain trial. But it wasn't multiple times I don't think?

Aww I suddenly remembered the time wherein Hua Cheng was asked what is the saddest/painful thing that happened in his life (?) I can't quite recall the exact question but his answer is watching someone you love suffer and you can't do anything about it. I can feel his helplessness during that time.

He didn't die in the final battle! His ashes are fine, but he, as an unsurpassed demon, will not die just like that. He just ran out of spiritual powers and left to recover.

I almost cried when Hua Cheng fell on his knees becoming a demon. This. Is. Brilliant.

Gorgeous animation, felt like leaving a "HeY DaDdY" comment after the ghost king transformation ('cause like, its not even a joke how much I am attracted to this non-existing fictional character), but like what if my future employees go through my internet history... that wouldn't look very professional

You just capture the essence of all the Hua Cheng’s history, the movements, the transitions, I really feel this animation, so amazing, and at the end Hua Cheng looks like someone who has lived a lot of time and the drawing transmite all that transitions. This is so pretty and smooth! I love the little details like how Hua Cheng falls to the ground clutching his head after gaining a form from the ghost fire or how his eye was bleeding and E-ming's eye was blood red when he formed the sword! Awesome work! 💕

It's hurting me so much, gosh I'm crying- Even if I can't see it very well 'cuz of my tears, the animation looks great and tf how could you draw so good without sobbing about what you're actualy doing-

the transitions are beautiful. my fav scene was the fire one. the fire looked so adorable

ohmygosh this was beautiful i could pinpoint ever emotion and event that preceded each look! [SPOILER] From the ghost fire to a human form, the despair of seeing XL suffer, The red eye and then bleeding eyesocket with E-ming and ascending then falling back were just perfect!

As MXTX writes more novels, the longer it takes for the main leads to come back to each other. 5 years, 13 years, 800 YEARS!!!

This is a masterpiece woooaaa! That part when he jumped. Imagine being offered to become a god, but you flip the other gods off, jump down from the heavens because fuck that place, become a fearsome ghost king that trolls the heavens because why not, they deserve it
