Brings back memories! I started following Jesus in 1970. This was one of the signature songs of the Jesus movement. It caught on even in some of the mainline churches. It was always kinda funny to see people sing it and look around wondering "should I really lift up my hands? Is anyone else doing it?" 😊

Miss these songs being sung at Church. I'm 41 now, so reminds me of my childhood. The Christian music today can't top what was popular in the 1970s and early 1980s....

This beautiful hymn was part of a medley in a cassette called “ Come Bless the Lord”. First came across it when my family and I were living in Jakarta, where our 2 daughters were born. Never stopped loving it!

The female descant is unusual, considering for a contemporary Christian group.
