Loved this sound, especially during movie marathons. Everyone would be doing shit getting popcorn or chatting and whatever, but when we hear this instantly everyone shuts up and stops screwing around. THX be like "Sit your ass down. It's movie time, Bitches"

This noise used to scare the living shit out of me. My dad would scare me with it by turning the volume of the tv up to max whenever it played before a movie, and needless to say, i would have nightmares about it later that night.

One day, when I was a kid, I went and played around with the volume potentiometer on me dad's Hi-Fi system... Needless to say that when I finally found the power button and pressed it, this shit blasted at MAXIMUM VOLUME and I felt like the Four Horsemen were coming to get me at that instant moment. Since then I shiver whenever I hear this shit.

you're performing Sound Checks on your Equipment and have no reason to? Thats one of the conditions of 'Audiophileitis'; there is no cure... the only Treatment is a loud 5.1/7.1 Surround Sound System, and a Desire to piss off the Neighborhood.. xD LMAO

Everyone was scared when they were kids (Me included). As we get older, it gets kinda mellow.

This playing in the middle of the night in a room only lit up by the telly was an absolutely horrifying experience. Still scares me to this day.

The actual sound didn't bug me. It was the absolute terror that I didn't turn the TV down enough whilst sneaking about at 2AM as a kid that got me...

Im testing MI HD Earphones, these things won the Red Dot Design Award, and for RM69, (£10, USD16) they are very high quality, superb bass. Really live up to the award.

THIS is THX thing is made for 5.1 not for 2.1 (Surround). Thats why you can hear that Robot making sounds in the front speakers and not in the back speakers when he is behind you!

Because of my Dad anytime we watched a movie with THX in it I've had six sleep paralysis moments where it'd be the THX logo slowly getting closer to me as the sound became more and more violently louder.
