Hi Anna! Great input once again. The actual image of the injury affected me deeply because this is actually something that is going on with me. I have been having problems with my Achilles for a long time so I have avoided wearing shoes that close around the back heel for about a decade. My physiotherapist asked me to at least try it again and I have been still avoiding it, exactly because of the painful memories associated with it. So thanks for pointing to something very directly :)
