Thunderstorms near Montreal - May 16th, 2021

A small video compilation of the isolated non-severe thunderstorms that formed during the early- to mid-afternoon of this day.
Thunderstorms were briefly-sustained, elevated and slow-moving. They developed in response to robust solar low-level and mid-level cooling rates, which enhanced instability, despite limited humidity.
Thunderstorms formed over St-Clet and Laval, and North to Terrebonne, as far as this general area is concerned. This was this general area’s fifth thunderstorm day this year.
Photos were taken from SW Pierrefonds, located in Montreal’s West Island.

Hi Jean-Marc Asselin - Thank you for your message! Unfortunately, very few thunderstorms developed during May 26th in this general area. The only one that was in the general area was briefly in Mirabel-Saint-Jerome corridor. Some heavy rainfall did eventually occur in my area, but only for a few minutes.
