These 3 openings are really the most kickass since the invention of tv. These three are the goat. And what a fantastic job youve done for this recreation. Far cooler then the recent strawberry thunder kittens i seen but cant unseen on tv

Just like mom’s home cooked food, love was definitely a key ingredient into making this great piece of work. Truly amazing stuff, and truly a great homage to one of 80’s gems.

Spectacular. Using this same level of CGI, remake every original episode, and I would watch then all. Just brilliant.

Thanks for the love everyone! I know how passionate the ThunderCats community is so it's really awesome to see such a great reaction. Some things that come up a lot in the comments: How long did it take? 4 months. I started by modelling the Sword of Omens in April, progressed to the Thundertank, then the Cats' Lair, then the characters, and before I knew it, I was doing the whole thing. It's too bright/dark! Yeah... that was actually a deliberate choice on my part to give it a more stylised look (and hide some of the dodgy CGI), but I agree I might have pushed it a little bit too far. Doh. Do one for Silverhawks/M.A.S.K./Transformers! Oh man, I could really only stomach doing this amount of work for the ThunderCats. Sorry Silverhawks fans. Otherwise, I think it's alright. And anyone who says otherwise has a poop mouth with poop opinions.

Such a nice rendition of the original. I simply cant help thinking though that although Mummra is the bad guy, he is actually the only character that really comes from Earth, while the Thudercats are the real alien invaders.

Thank you for making me remember the excitement I felt when I sat down to watch this with my little brother back in the 80s.

As an old schooler like myself who use to watch this show from way back when and once own the entire toy playset I can admit it This CG opening was so AWESOMELY AMAZING I thought it was a new movie trailer or a game teaser or something....

Late to this party, but one things for sure, this remade opening is TOTALLY worthy of the legendary Thundercats Intro. Great job sir.

I LOVE THIS. As an animator and filmmaker myself I think this is one of the best 2D to 3D remake I've ever seen. I like how you gave the Thundercats title at the end a sorta yellowish tint to give it an old film-ish feel. Feel the magic, hear the roar man!!

As someone who grew up when thundercats came out, this does put a smile on my face 🙂

Thundercats had an amazing quality. Each picture was drawn in a mannner that it used the positions and dimensions of the character as good as they could. The music was also excellent. One of my favorite cartoons of the 80s.

The voice actor who did the Mumra scream, has all our respect ❤

Superb. Thunder cats always had one of the best openings and theme tune and this compliments it perfectly.

As impressive as that cartoon series was, I never did get into it, but I always respect it's originality. Seeing devotion for things like this that are dearly loved by others, as you've shown here with your hard labor, is what keeps me from abandoning KZread entirely. Terrific, Mr. Booth!

@@walterbigblue I agree with those. I also like Knights of the Zodiac or anything by Toei. I just see a lot of 3D CGI on Netflix that looks a little cheap or cutrate it may be the style they chose as well.

Goosebumps. I'll admit it. This clip literally gave me goosebumps. Why can't the studios give us anything this good?

Like most stuff online it's because it's made by fans, for fans. Not having to go through a network who think they know what the public want but don't have a feckin' clue! Until fans are allowed to make reboots they'll all fail miserably.

This should be made into the remake of every episode. FANTASTIC.

Great Job. Looks amazing still can't believe a studio never made this into a movie. So much in this series to work with. The sword of omens is awesome and Mummra alone is one of the best villans of all time.

Congrats on the Cheetah movement’s. Her original animation stand up until today.

Lol, yeah, Cheetah was one of the first "waifu" crushes I had as a kid. Her and Evil-Lynn.

It's my fav .... in every week we would watched this animation... it reminds me my childhood

Wow what a fab job. Nice to see something so original. Very nostalgic.

Pretty solid work as a concept piece. The only things I would tweak would be the over exposure in certain scenes and add more detail and texture in the faces -- getting a bit of that uncanny valley look. But very impressive for someone who just started 3d animation this year. Give this man a real budget and more time to polish this and we will have something truly amazing.

how am I just now seeing this in 2023, this is pretty freaking cool man. Amazing work!
