Thundercat plays an unreleased song called "Innerstellar Love" live in concert before a sold-out crowd at the Fox Theater in Oakland, California on March 6, 2020. Thundercat is a Grammy Award winning singer and bass player from Los Angeles. Innerstellar Love, which Thundercat dedicated to recently deceased jazz pianist McCoy Tyner, will be released on Thundercat's upcoming album, It Is What It Is, in April 2020. Joining him onstage were Dennis Hamm (keyboards) and Justin Brown (drums).

Thundercat is the alter ego of virtuosic bassist / singer Stephen Bruner. Adopting the moniker in reference to the cartoon much loved since his childhood and an extension of his own wide-eyed, vibrant, often superhuman approach to his craft, he is a mercurial talent and GRAMMY Award winner.
