Welcome back to the ThunderCast, the official podcast of Mozilla Thunderbird! In this episode, we're thrilled to welcome our first special guest: Mike Conley, Principal Software developer at Mozilla. Mike is a software mechanic, musician, livestreamer, and self-described "pre-internet phenomenon" among many other things.
We had a wonderful conversation about the early days of the internet, Mike's early work on Mozilla Messaging, and his current work on Firefox. He also gives us a peek behind the curtain of upcoming Picture-in-Picture features, and some fresh changes to Firefox's migration tools.
We also asked Mike about some of the more underrated features of Firefox. Plus, we get the community involved by asking you which Thunderbird features more people should know about.

Can we have a talk with the Betterbird project for once? From their website the relationship seems a bit tense, but I see them doing a great work fixing bugs on Bugzilla, even if they're not the reporter.

Hello, I have big toolbar menu with search bar in my client. Is there way to remove or hide it? I have already remove search bar and tools but there is a big empty space.

We add clickable chapters (what KZread calls "key moments"), does that not help?

@@thunderbirdproject It actually does, I didn't see them as I made my comment (I think I supposed that these will be visible on the player itself, without going to the description box)
firefox sync don't respect the shortcuts. it actually deletes them all from your main browser. day ruined. never again mentality. still waiting for native hide tabbar and vertical tabs. and about Thunderbird. most people have no idea what "archive" mail even do. Also for the love of god , a notification log.
