Rules Clarification @ 32:10. "Shrapnel" damage tokens do not move the vehicle. Thematically metal is broken off and flung in a direction until it reaches the end of a tile or strikes ANY other vehicle.

Another small rules thing, at 15:38, you say that the oil slick is removed from the board after it’s used, but only the wreck and mine are removed after being revealed.

@@zichy1535 yeah there was a gameplay where a car went back & forth between two oil slicks and eventually off the board. This was a good informative gameplay though.

Was just watching the Vlog when you guys mentioned it and when I refreshed the page saw this haha. Super glad you guys are going to be continuing to focus on the playthroughs, really enjoy watching them!

I like how you can tell how pissed she is for losing. Each time something went wrong, her eyes told us how pissed she was. This video made me want to get this game.

Great play through. I had to purchase this game because I loved the original, although in comparison, that was very basic. Roll to move, roll to shoot, but I think it only had two board sections so it became a race to try to reach the end of the board to eliminate as many vehicles as you can. No finish line, just a never ending highway using the 'Switch and link' board. I am 67 now and still enjoy this 'blast from the past'. Keep up the great work. You make an old man very happy.

15:50 actually, the oil slick stays on the board, as does the mud , normal road and wreckage.

That was really fun to watch you two racing and shooting each other! I am really looking forward to the chaos of full player count games. Thanks for the great demonstration. Just from watching I kind of wish the dice were oversized. Rolling more dice is always fun, but when I only roll a single die, I would prefer to it to be bigger and chunkier. It would definitely be nice to have that direction die made a bit larger, so it is easier to read at the least.

Hi there, I've watched a few of your playthroughs. They are always fun/informative to watch, but I noticed that you guys always make an effort to know the rules well before playing. A lot of other playthroughs show people exploring the game for the first time, which is good in its own way, but I appreciate that you show what the games are like when you compete a bit more than that.

I need to find this game, love the interactions and how thematic the game feels. You guys did great in playthrou!

The original was one of my favorite games growing up. Looks like a nice reimagining of it.

Thanks for doing this! I was a big fan of the 1986 version when I was a young'un, so I'm definitely interested in seeing more about this campaign! I spy a Chai dice tray! ...hopefully I'll have one of my own some day...

Love your stuff guys! If it helps, I’d suggest using the word “indicate” instead of “dictate” since the pieces don’t actually talk 🤙🏽

32:24 shrapnel does not move car at all. Shrapnel is bits and pieces that fly in direction of the die and causes damage to the first vehicle (s) hit (plural if cars are stacked)

My friend works at a garage called Thunder Road. He needs to bring this to work!

Great playthrough. Not sure I saw how the new tile is chosen. Do you pick blindly or is there a card deck that tells you what tile to add? Also, am I correct that you can't pass through other cars even if you have the movement? Do you stop movement as soon as you enter space with another car? Do you have to use all your movement if possible? I suppose I should download the rulebook.

I Andrew, we shuffles the board prior to playing. Our were one-sided, but from what we understand the board tiles will be reversible. If you use your "drift" command then you can pass through your first collision with a car (including your own car). Also yes, you must use all of your movement action points. Hope that helps!

Reminds me of Death Roads Allstar board game. You guys should review it! It's like Death Race the movie turned into a board game

At 32:32 Monique takes Shrapnel damage. I may be wrong, but from my understanding, Shrapnel just gets ejected from your car in a direction, ignoring all land obstacles until it goes off the board or hits a car. If it hits that car, that car takes damage. But your car stays in the same place, your entire car isn't a piece of shrapnel.

Don’t know if the rules changed after this video was posted, but @15:39, the oil slick-and all other Obstacles except Wreck and Mine-should remain on the board. EDIT: Zichy called this out in a reply to the pinned comment.

On turn 2 I didn’t see Naveem move his car after the chopper play.

Don't lie Naveem, we all know she made you skip a turn for shooter her. That's what the cut was about.

Looking at the rules I don't think Shrapnel moves the car, you just draw a line until you hit an obstacle or a car then apply damage

Can you shoot and/or slam other people's inoperable vehicles? Also, was there anything stopping Naveen from leaving his chopper next to the bunker indefinitely and permanently blocking Monique? Lastly, can a drift action avoid the chopper?

You can freely pass through the chopper, but if a vehicle ends it's movement on the same space, then they are eliminated. No drift is necessary for this. Hope that helps!

Looks very nice with the exception of the plastic cars. I much more prefer wooden pieces.

I have been hoping they’d redo this game. Also want them to redo Screaming Eagles from 1987.

41:55 You could have assigned the 3 and moved to the space ahead of the hazard. Choppers can't move to hazard spaces.

Do you guys resolve the direction die opposite or do the developers change it in the final version ?

Oooh we're not sure about the rules changes with the final version. It's possible that they made changes to it though, so I'd recommend consulting Rodney's how-to-play on Watch It Played.

Are not road dice, used only if you stay on the road the whole time.

Some honest thoughts about the game guys? did u have the chance to play with more persons?

Very. The original was aged at 7+ (uk). This adds a few more extra tactical layers and customisation but nothing too heavy.

Hi Scott, it's a fairly straightforward ruleset so it should definitely be gateway friendly.

It's like a simpler version of The Quest For El Dorado with cars. :)
