Thunder Mountain Speedway hosted the first ever Rod Carter Jr. Memorial race in honor of the long time racer and multi-track champion. In FWD 4 Cylinder action 18 drivers participated in the program. Two heat races were held with the first heat going to #78 Jim Rowland. The second contest was captured by #75 Eric Partin. Thunder Mountain Speedway is a third-mile clay oval located just south of Corbin, Kentucky.
