This was a great video. Thank you for putting it together. I know I kinda ragged on your other head-warmer video, but this one was perfect. I had my doubts on the ProTek heater, and this video confirmed them. However, if you still have your ProTek heater, I believe the reason why it pulses the voltage and amperage draw is because it has a temperature sensor. So it gets the warmer up to temperature, must be like 160 deg or so, and then pulses it to keep it there. Curious to see if that's true, and if so, then removing the sensor (or at least pulling it out of the warmer part so it just hangs in open air) may allow the warmer to get just as hot as the Thunder. I don't know. Also not sure if the Thunder is available anymore. Seems like most of the good engine warmers are going the way of the Dodo.

It is known locally that you may cut off the control / on switch from the power cables and go direct to power source and it will run all the time. So if you have one like that feel free to solder it up. I will warn you that you want to not juice it with too much power stick close to 12v if you can you will eventually burn it out. Some connect it to battery charger and set output voltage and run off lipo charger.
