Thumping down the Uckfield Line in 1990 and 1991

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

A conversion from VHS of a video depicting the Oxted to Uckfield railway line in the early nineties, taken from various vantage points along the route. This was a period in which three sections of doubled track were singled in order to save money. Two types of diesel-powered 'Thumper' units (Classes 205 and 207) are portrayed along with several clips of VEP and 2-EPB electric units at Oxted and Hurst Green operating services on the East Grinstead line. A final clip captures preserved 4-SUB (4732) and 2-BIL (2090) departing Lewes on a special working to Seaford.
