    Hey Huddison... I'm guessing you know, but just in case... Regarding "Coordinated turns"... When using the G1000 like you did here, there is a big triangle pointing down on the artificial horizon. It moves with your banking. Just below that, is a slightly smaller triangle pointing upwards, with a small rectangular line under the base of said triangle. This one, stays at the top of your display no matter your bank angle. That smaller line should stay under the triangle to make a "Pyramid". If the line is to the left of the triangle, then you need to either add left rudder, or let off the right rudder. Conversely, if the line is to the right of the triangle, you need to either add right rudder, or let off the left.. When not using the G1000, and you just have the "Six Pack" there is a curved bubble level with a black ball in it. That little ball moves.. The term is "Step on the ball".. So if the ball drifts to the left when banking, step on the left rudder to center the ball again. Same thing with that line under the triangle in the G1000... If the base is to the left of the pyramid, step on the left rudder to keep the pyramid in shape... Again, I'm going to guess you already knew that, but just in case: Make sense? Thanks for another fantastic video! Keep them coming! Happy Flying

    So as a pilot, we use mainly right rudder pedal for taxi because of left turn tendency of propeller aircraft. This due to P factor, torque, corkscrew affect and pressesion. No need to keep both feet on the pedals as this will cause you to turn back and forth wildly. Just use right rudder coordinated with throttle. The front wheel IS NOT usually a steerable wheel. It is similar to a shopping cart wheel. Turning is accomplished by rudder position. The nose wheel will then freewheel to the rudder affect.

    I’ve used them for a few years and you are right, they are too close together. Foe combat flight sims the fine rudder control for aiming isn’t there. I’ve just bought the Logitech pedals and although I like the stronger spring and the increased control, I find the feel of them on your feet are not as goods the one in the video. They feel a bit flimsy, not as robust as I’d like. I will eventually get used to them I guess

  • @caaront
    @caaront3 жыл бұрын

    I hooked my TM TFRP back up and remember why I cannot use them, with the whole feet sliding back and forth on rails there is no fine control and lots of friction no matter how I set up the rudder pedals or the sensitivity settings in the sim. I was hoping I could compensate for the friction and jerky, sticky movements of the pedals with the sensitivity settings in the sim but what happens 100% of the time is that I move my pedals an inch, they stick, then they slide forward a half inch and stick, then they move the rest of the way, same thing in either direction. It results in starting out smoothly when adding rudder in a turn, then it jerks and almost full deflection is instantly added and the airplane then twitches hard to whatever side I was adding rudder on. It is impossible for me to use these smoothly.

    Did you check the rails? nothing hanging it up there? Sounds more like something mechanical getting in the way. @@AM-6030 MS created an update which allowed those with larger ram to cache the scenery directly around you which in turn allowed for a better frame rate I think, then this allowed for higher graphics setting but IMO London still looks like it's melting but I'm putting that down to how MS overlay the photo textures incorrectly.

    Had them for a year now. They were great in the first few weeks, but now they are binding/sticking really bad. Cleaned them, lubed them with Teflon, Silicone etc., but the are getting worse and worse. Thinking of getting rid of them as they ruin the experience.
