Drop A tuning?

The song is in drop G. My guitar is in drop A but I use a pedal to pitch down to drop G. It's easier for me !

Why is the rythm part of the chugging breakdown part at 1:33 like this? It looks like dotted half note triplets, but isn't that just regular quarter notes?

Yes it's a mistake ! You're right, it's just regular quarter notes. i think that what I wrote is equivalent to regular quarter notes but overly complicated for no reason :)
