I have no idea why I find this content so interesting, because I have never even seen a paramotor up close. But man, when watching your videos it seems like such a great passion to have in your life!
Had an "Oh shiiiii..." moment when I saw your title - pleased to see that you were at such a low altitude

huh? he was high,in order to have time to deploy the reserve if his wing did not reinflate,,,alititude is your friend in an emergency
🤦🏻♂️🤣 You’ve convinced me to get a reserve.

Why wouldn't you have a reserve? Seems like no downsides to me, other than having to pay for one and maintain it, which seems minimal for something that could very well save your life.

I give you a lot of respect for making this video. This right here is the main thing i think about every time I watch you fly. It's incredible, majestic, and awe inspiring and yet seeming fragile and tenuous. Send it.
So cool, I repacked a reserve yesterday.
Thanks for the video. Very cool demo of the reserve usage.
I love it! VERY useful....great vid! That's how I pack mine as well. Those steerable ones are different and NOT easy to do right. I'd have those professionally repacked....but these are both great reserves and are easy to repack. Good stuff!
Ok, ok, you've convinced me! I now have a reserve on order. Now all I need is a paramotor. :-P

Great vid!! Thanks for creating/sharing!
You're probably already headed down there but have a safe trip guys Can't wait to see the awesome videos to come......✌
I am glad you did a video on this. Have fun in Florida.
As always Tucker, Awesome Video... Keep up the awesome work and Awesome Content!
Great video! Definitely going to have a reserve after seeing a couple videos recently. Having a reserve is all part of obeying Rule 1: Don’t Go Splat
As one of those amputees mentioned. Here as a non vet but to support the Resurgence PPG cause. The sponsorship of the veteran candidate here at AviatorPPG was a pleasure to be part of. Hoping more people realize the beneficial impact of the program. Was nice having a chance to meet you Tucker and Jaclyn. Also meant a lot to me to have you there for first flights. Awesome video as always too!! Thanks for the inspiration!!!!!!

Even if people don’t need a reserve repack seeing how they operate before they need to use one will probably be invaluable. Nice vid, keep em coming
Bumble Bee just chilling in the back like it aint no thang when it aint no thang LOLZ
I did a repack clinic with a local PG group which was very valuable for the throw and repack. I'm due again as well. I have an Ozone Angel 140 which is amazingly large for how small it compacts.
ur editing is awesome !!
Fantastic job Tucker!
Love your vids did look all off them.i ‘m from the netherlands and i alsow want to start paramotor flying.you are my hero men👍👍👍👍🎢
Nice vid. Dang wish i could go to florida. So bad weather in mo. Have a good trip.
I watch one of your videos. And 😂👏i love it. Im gonna continue to watch all of your videos.
Good vid, T-Bird. I always wanted to repack my reserve, but I think I will leave it to the pros until I can get some formal training, which I hope I can get during SIV this May.
Yes also recall from my Parachute time to pack all in !
Good informative video. Nice demonstration. As my dad says better to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it.
Great. Thanks Tucker. I'd like to pack my own someday.
I like the way you had a simulated thunder sound right when you said the word, "weather."
Your videos are therapeutic in a way, I can see how paramotoring might be something a vet might want to get into, as I plan on buying one ASAFP! I wonder if a dirt bike exhaust would be mountable to the two stroke behind my head too. My old Yamaha always did sound better in the air :P
Good information.
Good info Tucker 👍
#QualityContent Tucker
Hey Tucker, can you do a video on mounting the reserve to the paramotor. Would also be good to show the side mount and the front mount. thanks mate
Good lighting makes huge difference.
Nice Tucker!
Thanks Tucker
Thanks for the video Tucker. I was taught one final step after the "Throw". That was to haul back in on the bridle lines...it was to accomplish two things. First, "IF" the reserve did not come out of its container...time would be saved hauling it back to you for a second attempt. and secondly...if the reserve container did release, the pulling motion would serve to open the reserve chute a little sooner, thus saving valuable time between Earth and you. I hope this helps., Thanks again for all your videos...they are fantastic and very informative.

THSNKS ! Sounds great to this ol Navy Para- Rigger / PJ. 200+ jumps , never used my reserve - BUT I am now getting one for my PPG / cart.
Sorry if these questions have already been asked/answered but didn't want to read all 214 comments.... 1) That caribiner... is that REALLY all there is connecting the reserve to the weight of the paramotor + human + G forces as the reserve opens and pulls against those weights dynamically pulling on it? 2) The pack didn't open when you threw it... you said it would have if it had been actually up in the air... is that because the wind whipping it around would open it?
Love the videos keep it up
Hey Tucker, Thanks for the great information. If possible, I'd like to see the parachute pack, unedited in its slow, regular speed format so we can see in detail the steps you're taking to re-pack. Cheers fella.
Nice video, my reserve needs a repack soon. Never fly without mine. Loved your podcast. Anthony is such a nice chap and I saw that you finally met at AviatorPPG yesterday..
Keep up the good work
Petzl makes a swivel you can use to simulate an actual spin if you feel like that'd be beneficial.
As a professional grip & electric, I approve of your new lighting setup
That looks way simpler than packing my ol' saber 190.. I cannot wait for this spring to get my ppg training done.
Learning videos are always cool...
Great video!
You should try black rifle coffee! It's amazing!
thanks for the free education, careful up there bud.
I was taught velcro's grip can get tighter and tighter over time, so release and reset it occasionally. Then It may not take as much force to seperate when you do need to use it.
I’d definitely pull by hand the last elastic ring section - between the actual parachute and the white lines… After seen the vid where the guy just throws it and it doesn’t open. Fortunately his second reserve did open. I get a feeling that sometimes the airstream is not strong enough to open the chute.
🤔I have an idea Tucker, how about a demonstration from up in the air🤣🤦🏼♂️!!?!!

i just imagine this guy falling and next to him is going to be that ball that never opened
On repack you also need to check the lines to the parachute for being tangled.....just pull them apart before you start the folding and "fluffing" process....sometimes those lines stick.....and that last fold of the parachute before stuffing it, do it the opposite way...let's the parachute open more quickly.
Good morning tucker. ( 630 am right now, here in Nova Scotia. ) I know your always looking for new video ideas. How about a detailed video explaining the difference in hang point set ups and there affects. I am new to the sport and cant seem to find a lot of information ( from anyone credible ) on this topic. Thanks in advance, and keep up the great work and sharing new info as you get it. I believe you are bring the sport mainstream and attracting a lot of new people to the sport.
Good Stuff! I re-packed my reserve a couple of weeks ago. I cannot say you did anything wrong, however I suggest tossing in an open area. Your garage is nice, but it is far too small. My Paraglider club hangs from basketball hoops for a toss. We then pack as a "Party". Not this year, but most years. :) Having it fully deploy is important to know your technique is good. If you can chuck it far enough to get it out of the D-Bag, you've had a good toss. I love your content, and your merch. Keep it up! Blue Skies & Fly in Peace (>*
Excellent, been wondering how my reserve is packed. :)
"just get one and carry it all the time". Me wearing my reserve getting coffee at Dunkin because tucked said so
Out of curiousity are there any reserve toss clinics ? Maybe a day event somewhere where you get in one of those gyro chairs (3 axis jobby) where your buddies give you a good spin and then someone randomly calls out “toss”. Obviously using a dummy chute or one that’s tied off. Video it as I’m sure everyone can do a deep analysis after whilst watching and drinking a few brewskies !!
Hi Tucker You're right about having to disable the wing. However, trying to do a B stall when you're in that kind of a wonky situation is not a good idea. Best is to concentrate on only one side and grab the wing to you as fast as possible.
Did you see how hard was to pull the reserve out of the container? Our friends at #BaiucaSports have figured out a new container with zippers that do not get harder to open with the time. Also, as a skydiver and pro packer, don't you find it weird that the lines are folded inside the bag and not outside? Keep the sweet videos coming
GREAT ! ( Just finished another comment to you. And found their info . Super.) YES, now this ol Navy Para- Rigger (59-82 ) is now convinced- I will get a reserve ! SO - You are saying pull down on brakes as to totally collapse the wing , Right ?! ( I am flying a Grashopper cart from Air ParaMo from Inst Mo Shelton in Maricpo, AZ. Good friend, great family - I gave his super kids some survival training skills. ) Mel Mel - Deweese in.G. Jct., W. Co.
Ditto...Tucker, you convinced me to get a reserve!
I have a reserve on the left side and I throttle with my left hand. Loved to see your steps for tossing with the throttle hand. Should I take the time to kill engine and drop the throttle before tossing? Or, just grab and throw as soon as needed?
A good argument to why not have one is: It can happen that you throw it unintentionally. Like during a launch or something when your wing is perfectly inflated. Then it can be a serious problem. That being said, I defenatly preffer flying with a reserve :-)
Dude! Let’s Talk a little bit about that awesome coffee machine. When you make it back down to central Florida, hit me up and we can do some Sailplane flying out west of Disney. Great job on the video. Safe travels.
Nice video, Tucker! I watched a 14 minute ad for you, I hope it helps!
this guy deserve more subs than pewdiepie☺
In Europe maybe in US too,we have great parashute with the small rocket " its heavy and expensive but it can save you life at even 20m high, about 30/50feet...wana get that soon but its like 1500dol...
Was hopin' you'd mention why you like a non-steerable versus a steerable, and why you prefer lap mount versus under-seat.
Paramotoring is so cool I want to get into it
Tucker, do you carry any type of survival items in your kit? Some of your videos are over some remote terrain and just curious if you had to do an emergency landing in a non-ideal location.
30 years ago my chute throwing was done in a gym being thrown around by a couple of attached ropes . simulating severe disorientation . Then afterwards was chute repacking with new rubber bands .
hope ill become a paramotorist someday too
This is where Jaclyn pranks you and replaces the chute with springy snakes!
new subscriber here! I've just watched your video "Flying to McDonald's on your paramotor"
Clip 1:27 has a major BuRn!!! Love it!
Is any of the PPG reserves equipped with a PC? Seems like this system would be a slower deployment.
Oof shots fired @AnthonyVella
Can you share the amazon links or whatever to the background curtain and studio lights? Thanks bro!
What’s the biggest size you do in hoodies ? Do you ship to England ? Great vlog great content as always .
I'm surprised there isn't a drogue chute like base jumpers. I hope that thread really breaks or you'll have a fabric brick swinging in the breeze.
Reserve parachute: Better to have it and not need, than need it and not have it.
why no stevens cutaway system for paramotor setups?
I want a paramotor so freaking bad😣
What reserve chute and container did you use?
Tucker, are you going to come to Midwest ppg? Btw Matt said hi
My reserve is waiting on me in Florida.
Hey Tucker Great to see the video on reserves. It is a topic not often discussed. If you and Jacqueline need a break enroute to Winterhaven, stop by Wildwood. Id love to take you out for a meal. PM me.
Reserves are like insurance. Expensive to get but pays off in the end.

What does this mean?
I may have missed it. But did you say whether it was a square or a round reserve? I have a ozone 140 square and it's a beast. #mailbag
Why don't you use the Scouts built-in under seat reserve container? Does it make it harder to get into and out of the seat? Harder to run on take off and landing?
@TuckerGott
5 жыл бұрын
It makes it a little bit harder to completely straighten your torso. I tend to do a lot of footdrags and launches and landings so I prefer the front mount. On the Icarus race, however, I used the underseat container and it worked perfectly. I think it's a really great feature especially for cross country pilots.
Tucker, any reason you dont pack your reserve under the Scout seat??
Hey Tucker. Nice video! If you weren't doing stunt flying as you do, but just casual flying, would you still carry a reserve?
@TuckerGott
5 жыл бұрын
Yup! Weather, midair collisions, and crazy random mechanical failures are big enough reasons to carry one in my opinion.
What type of reserve are you using? Looks like a GIN?
Hey Tucker! what is the brand/model of your reserve?
Q and A could you tandem with some please and base jump from the rig?
@plantcollector3915

Wouldn’t it be a good idea to kill your motor before throwing out your reserve to avoid lines getting tangled or cut?
"No click-bait here" LOL
Hey, quick question, when you're flying do you ever consider birds puncturing your wing or your reserve? What would happen in that instance?
@brandonmcclain9988
5 жыл бұрын
Court Car 😳
What brand reserve and bag do you use ?
Question... as a skydiver why would you not jump out of the seat and open the reserve with a static line or cut away the main before the reserve??? Entanglement is a serious issue in skydiving I feel like the procedures need to be refined for paramotor. Also, Why is there not a drogue shoot attached to the bag??? Love your videos man!!!
