i remember playing this for the first time ever at my cousin’s house when it first came out and we were blown away by the jump in graphics particularly with the sweat and jersey physics. but man have we come a long way since then. i really miss those days though 😢

I remember when I thought this looked real. Crazy how far we go.

This was the game that made me decide to buy an X360 ASAP. My jaw was on the floor the first time I saw someone playing it in person. Some comments here don't get how much of a visual upgrade this was over the previous gen.

I remember how crazy i went over the graphics... now looking back with 2k14 on next gen, 6 to 7 years from now will be saying the same thing about 2k14

Remember playing this every night with my cousin this was my first 2k and I believe this is the best soundtrack 2k has ever had it’s just so memorable and nostalgic

This and NBA Live 07 were the games I played when I was a kid. I played Live on the PSP. Good times man.

I remember Christmas 2005 I got this game from my (step) grandma & was disappointed I got this instead of NBA Live lol. Funny how times change, if it was the other way around these days I wouldn’t even play Live.

I remember getting this game when I first got my x box 360 I played this game for countless hours

I just grabbed a copy of this game the other day on eBay, I paid like $6 for one complete in box. NBA 2K6 is one of my favorite basketball games on the 360.

***** I was kinda disappointed with the EA launch titles they were missing so much stuff but they all had great graphics for that time.

first year on new consoles this seemed so realistic... it takes awhile for producers to cope with new systems which is why theres such a difference from this and 2k14 .. that being said 2k14 looks amazing on ps4 ad's now and im excited to see what future installments are gonna look like because I think the graphics in the games we've seen thus far are just the tip of the ice berg

they're not that bad for 2006, but 2k7 looks way better than this game

I still have the ps2 version as well, this was one of my first 360 games when it finally dropped in march 06 i believe

I need 2k to put the sound of net like 2k6 again it sounds so satisfying

The guys look like clay now, but man this looked so real in 2006…way better than live….after like 2003…they never were better than the 2k games imo

Man the focus on the crowd in this game isn't something you see in the latest games anymore.

All I know is nba 2k9 has the best Iverson player model…they never get his long arms or wire frame right anyomore like they did in 2k9. They also fully motion captured “his” signature crossover. I wish 2k focused more on signature moves like they use to in the pass

I can't quite say which ones are my favorites but I always go back and play 2K7 & 2K10, I only get on 2K11 for the Jordan challenges that mode alone changed the game.

The achievements were fun to get

It was such a huge graphics update. when those games were still fun. now its too simulation + greed.

Yea this team would definitely be champions in the virtual world only but that Cavs team is pretty bad too but not as bad as the Lakers

Donnovan Randle graphics, isomotion dribble system, 24/7 ends once you beat LeBron, shooting is a little better, but I'd say 2k5 has a better 24/7 & association modes

This was before they gave players signature style when 2k7 dropped for ps3 & 360, I think on ps2 & og xbox they still all had generic shots and dribbles.

+Derek “Dgame1985” Turner I have this game and was trying to investigate and from what I've discovered that the only player who doesn't have a generic jumpshot is shaq but I might be wrong I didn't test every player, even Shawn Marion has a regular jumpshot it was weird seeing that lol
