Renanto Pratama Turned out to be Brown, Fultz ( AND Kyrie because that last picked was used in Kyrie trade) Smart was from Boston's picks. So yeah imagine the Nets with with Brown, Fultz and another top pick. They definitely lost that trade. The Nets were good for like 2 years, and they didn't even get past the second round

From the Celtics pov, we got Brown, Tatum, and Kyrie for 35+ year old KG and Pierce. And due to trading down for Tatum WE STILL HAVE A PICK. That trade was a top 5 worst of all time. Great for the Celts tho!

This video is like a mini representation of Jeff Green's strengths&weaknesses and Avery Bradley's strengths. Jeff Green can dribble in a straight line and attack but he forces it too often and makes very low IQ basketball plays. If a few of those fouls weren't called, Green would have been hurting his team. He doesn't make any shots for his teammates in this clip either. He does have a few nice straight-line drives and finishes and a corner 3, but he doesn't bring much else. If he gave up a few bad drives for a kick out pass to keep the offense moving, he'd be so much more. Bradley was and is obviously a monster defender. The heart he has in this video is tremendous, both in terms of its physical stamina and willful tenacity. He did not really make shots for his teammates thru ball-handling, though, which he's much improved on now. He has a lot more things he can do off the dribble currently.

Obviously not all games are the same, there's variables both ways so you can't judge a whole team or league based off one game but idk for sure. Maybe it was usually like this but I highly doubt it. Most likely the Celtics didn't average that low scoring but you still probably wouldn't have a game like that today. This also wasn't too long ago either so the defense wasn't so much better at that point.

I wasn’t about to watch the big 3’s last game in Boston sitting down. A guy (Celtics “fan”) behind me grabs my shoulders and slams me into my seat unexpectedly. We have a few choice words back and forth. Five minutes later the Celtics start the run and the place is going wild!!! Not a single person sitting down. During a NY timeout the guy apologized. 2k God23 how does my comment literally have nothing to do with what you said? You said in your original post “49 points with 10 minutes left in the first quarter”, then proceeded to talk about good defense... when In reality, 49 points thru 38 minutes of a NBA game is pathetic in ANY era. This was barely over 5 years ago why’re you talking like it was the good ol days? 😂

Johnny Tancredi Hey dumbass, 5 years is a HUGE difference from today’s league. There were no defensive switches, u didn’t see fucking centers guarding point guards. U ever watch the 90s kid?? Teams would score 75-90 range all the time, not like 110-125 range like it is now. There is no defense anymore, and I remember the league being a way better defensive league 5 years ago, so don’t @ me with your BS cuz u clearly don’t know more basketball than I do.

The key to the final few minutes was a foul on Jeff Green to end the run. The Knicks regained their composure after that. If that foul doesn't happen and the Celtics get another basket, who knows what would have happened.

@marvinjones689 Probably not, but the pressure would have been on NY. The problem with the Celtics in those years was Jeff Green was too inconsistent. He had the talent to sciee 20 and grab 8 boards a night but rarely did he have many games like that in a row. KG called him "nasty Jeff Green" and if nasty Jeff was there for Game 7, they win.

This game sequence reminds me of the 2002 WCF game with the Lakers and Kings when the Lakers went off for a short period to take a lead from 25 or so to like 10 in like no time while the Kings (like the Knicks here) turned it over consecutively like they were playing at 50% speed. Of course, like this game for the Celts, the Lakers didn't even win with the comeback.
