Throwaway Oversway in Waltz or Foxtrot | How to Dance it Stunningly (the Modern Way)
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Throwaway Oversway, one of the most recognizable and popular line moves to dance in the Waltz, Tango, or Foxtrot! In this tutorial, we are going to teach you how to dance a stunning Throwaway Oversway for Waltz or Foxtrot, focusing on those swing dances for now. We even teach you a combination that you can use in your own Open Level routines! The combination that we teach is demonstrated to Waltz music and with Waltz timing, although the combination can be altered to fit Foxtrot very easily.
This tutorial is part of a series on popular line moves in Standard dancing. Scroll through our existing tutorials to find other line moves included in this series. If you don't find one you're looking for, it's probably because we haven't gotten there yet! Trust us, we will!

Nicely done. SO helpful. I love hearing from both the man and the lady, what to do, AND what to avoid. I LOVED Kora instructing the ladies to hold their own weight vs. depending upon the man to hold her up.
Thanks for Excellent demo.😍❤️💋💃🏻🏆⭐️
So beautiful and clearly showing very important tips! Thank you Simeon and Kora❤️

This is a terrific video. I can't wait to try these figures (again) with my partner having watched this. The explanations are clear and the different views show what we have been doing wrong as well as (thankfully) confirming what we have been doing right! Well done!

굿!최고!최고!ㅡ굿!
I danced that combination in 1993 at the World Championships for +35 in Perth. 💖 But I ended with a kick with my left foot and then a standing spin.

Very nice! That Rudolph Ronde into Standing Spin was a very popular combination in the 1990s. It's not so popular nowadays but we think it's a beautiful combination!

Wonderful! 😀 That was a great time to dance, especially the earlier nineties. Talk about a Golden Era of Standard dancing!

Thanks for the video...if the lady look over her shoulder at the last position of the throwaway oversway..the look seems to be downwards on the floor...is it wrong to look upwards?
@SKDancesport

Great question! Technically, it would be incorrect to look upwards. You want your nose to follow the line of your shoulder for the most natural look. As you can see in the thumbnail for this video, the line of Kora's neck follows the line of her sternum, which is the correct head placement both for balance and for aesthetic value.

@@SKDancesport thanks for the clarification!!
Thank you. Excellent. But after same foot lunge, what will be the next pattern to exit ?

You can do many different things to exit, the possibilities are endless. Perhaps the simplest exit would be a Hover Corte or a Quick Open Telemark. We will probably do a video demonstrating many different exits in the future. 😀

Ma non riesco a capire perchè un video così bello ed interessante non debba essere tradotto in italiano - visto che siamo in Italia - sì che noi si possa imparare ciò che viene spiegato. Un traduttore non è difficile trovare. Grazie
