Most gaming mice will raise the refresh rate to 1000Hz, but because some old BIOSes don't understand any keyboards that go beyond the bare minimum standards a lot of keyboards default to 125Hz. In theory the trombone could be a fantastic instrument for metal, except just for slower and more drone-y subgenres. What Author and Punisher realized is being able to go between notes is really important to a heavy sound, so his MIDI controllers work on levers and sliders and spinning knobs instead of buttons, like a trombone. And if I remember right, I saw a Sunn O))) concert online where one of the guys was playing a trombone! Just at like, you know, 10 BPM of course

The fact that you ran out of breath near the end with the long vibrato note but was determined to finish the last note at the end makes this so perfect Filling up the Champ meter just to lose it instantly is Trombone Champ in a nutshell. I'd say the longest pause in this song is about 1.2 seconds max, and that's being really generous. When your mind and body is under the pressure of a large audience like that and getting what I assume to be tons of practice beforehand, I can only imagine the unconscious biological mechanisms activating during this song. Not only is there definitely a level of flight or fight, but the stress hormones being released has to be insane. Every second, every little action can make or break this song. It's at this point that those scarce moments of slightly longer breath are crucial in pulling off what is demonstratively a superhuman feat. The on screen scoring is disengenuous in my opinion, you can only take in so much by watching the pros do their work, but I could simply never put myself in this man's shoes, I can literally see the pain in his eyes. Absolutely amazing performance.

What a glorious rendition. I’m so happy to have found this.
Loved that they went full CHAMP mode for 2 whole seconds after having only done it for .2 seconds earlier in the song! Talk about a journey!
The ending where he loses his breath only to recover in time to hit the last note is hilarious XD

I learned how to sing this song. For a while, I kept running out of breath. So far a---(gasp)
This is gold. Thanks for making my day.

Whoever you are, thank you. This is the funniest video I've seen in a long time!
This is the musical future Schoenberg dreamed of. This video has the same energy as someone fighting for their life singing "Livin on a Prayer" at karaoke night. The fact that you ran out of breath near the end with the long vibrato note but was determined to finish the last note at the end makes this so perfect Filling up the Champ meter just to lose it instantly is Trombone Champ in a nutshell. Living beings spent hundreds of thousands of years evolving lungs. Human society spent thousands of years developing music. We then needed to figure out metalworking to create trombones. And we can finally say we've mastered them. Congratulations

My mother walked passed me as I was watching this and commented "Oh he sounds terrible" 10/10 video experience
Bruh keep it up no lie love the whole video. I couldn't have even gotten to the first 8 secs myself. Mad respect man!
