only played lost cities, and played it at least 100 times on BGA and decent amount in person. pre-ordered through the desert and excited to try it out, especially after this glowing review! I appreciate how compact the box is while still having quality production

Through the Desert is probably my favorite, but I'm a big fan of his dice games too: Art of War, Heckmeck, Sushizock im Gockelwok.

My favorite Knizia game is actually Taj Mahal

Difficult question! It depends on your group. I think TTD is just a little better designed (playtime, teach, accessibility for ages and experience levels), but more importantly it plays five. I'd never pick either above babylonia though.
